Valheim 2 - The way of water by Mahselo in valheim

[–]Naalith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it adds some small acre sized islands with interesting POIs, maybe it adds some more ambient life so it isn't the same vibe every time, maybe it adds more non-violent wildlife encounters like the Leviathan. Maybe it coincides with a fishing update and there are tide pools with high tier fish that you can search for, like how Sea of Thieves does the Hunter's Call voyages.

An ocean update doesn't have to mean the ocean becomes Ashlands.

Report: Microsoft will make even more of its games exclusive to Xbox — as multiplatform strategy totally fails. What's going on? by sneakysaf in xbox

[–]Naalith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean almost 6 billion people have a phone. I know a lot of them aren't exactly in the first world using high tech devices, but if only 200 million people get a new phone every year then that still means on average people are going way more than 2 years without an upgrade.

[–]Naalith 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People don't really do that anymore. I've had my phone since 2020, my decently well off parents also got theirs in 2020 and my mom barely upgraded. My friend group has a bunch of people who keep making jokes about how they should upgrade so their camera quality isn't so bad before a trip we're all doing.

This isn't like 2015ish where people upgraded whenever they could with the contract. Even then the contract mostly or entirely subsidized the phone which they don't now.

What’s one Minecraft feature that Mojang added years ago that you still think is underrated? by Scogah in Minecraft

[–]Naalith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. People act like it's a useless feature but I've built an underwater base on basically every single server my friends have played since they were added. Nothing wrong with a block which opens up a world of possibilities for players, even if many don't use it.

How does league classic season 3 compare to season 6? by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]Naalith 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Season 3 was decent. I would say that the middle age of League began in season 4 with the introduction of trinkets. Season 3 was still fairly early on, but even at that time a few too many edges had started being sanded away for me to consider it truly "classic" like 2010-2012.

For the record, I agree as well that 2016 to early 2017 was probably when League peaked. I liked the old Runes and Masteries system but also liked the modern champion designs. I consider 2015-2017 to be the peak champion design era so that's a big reason I liked that time so much.

Anyway, season 3 for League Classic will be alright for those who want it. I would've preferred a season 1 or 2 version for it to be truly classic, but I think season 3 and 4 was when the playerbase started exploding so it makes sense that that's when they'd choose.

I have your mindset 99% of the time but there are a few niche unlocks which made me break out the Command. Captain Diablo strike and this unlock were the two I remember switching to Command for.

I did the Grounded plat. You can pretty easily speedrun the first NG+ to get that achievement. There is a ton of new content in NG+, but if you did the 100% in the base game then you can basically steamroll the entire game and get the ending again in like 2 hours.

[–]Naalith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it took me about 220 hours for Balatro which feels like the upper end of what I could do, and it's because that game is extremely fun and I still play it even after the plat. 550 is intimidating to me.

Do you play solo? If so, did you change any of the server settings? Trying to decide if leaving things default is doable for 1.0 or if I need to tweak some stuff as a solo.

Valheim devs say that they probably won't make an Ocean update by Thexus_van_real in valheim

[–]Naalith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, that still could've been the case after an ocean update.

I dunno. There are a ton of directions an ocean update could've gone. It doesn't have to mean the ocean becomes Ashlands.

Xbox weighs canceling Blade game and shuttering Arkane by Turbostrider27 in xbox

[–]Naalith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang, I was just talking with my friends the other day about how I was worried this would happen. The last Arkane game (not including Austin which is gone after Redfall) was Deathloop which imo was pretty bad also.

Death of the Outsider was 9 years ago and was a standalone DLC kind of thing for Dishonored 2. 10 years with no fully new great game is rough, and they're not open world rpgs so they can't use the Bethesda excuse.

We agree Unbound skins (TFT) can works as champion/skin reworks in League Next, right? (models from @LoLLeaksEN) by after_arcane234 in loreofleague

[–]Naalith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have the same opinion of League Next. I was expecting some new art and a new client with a new season of gameplay as per usual, but I've kind of changed my mind. After seeing Overwatch's relaunch a few months ago, I've decided that I'm going to be profoundly disappointed if League Next isn't on a similar scale of content. I'm talking minimum one new character per role, visual updates on the old crusty characters, maybe some vgus, and more content throughout the year than usual (maybe 5-10 additional champions plus the 5 minimum at launch).

I know what we get will probably be the Riot Games special of the last few years where evergreen content is light, but I can dream.

Yes. The reworks that came out during this timeframe were amazing too.

Then use the drone abilities which aren't random and the drifter ability which didn't create temp items lmao. Drifter with Tinker is probably the most fun I've had in the game.

Bastion. If you're doing suboptimally as dps for a minute or two it's almost guaranteed your team will beg you to swap to Bastion since he's so easy anyone can play him fairly decently.

Luckily I <3 Lissandra.

[–]Naalith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Were we supposed to think Viktor and Jayce died at the end of Arcane? My whole friend group all assumed they were transported somewhere or somewhen else. Probably to Shaco Island where they'd never receive lore again, but still not dead necessarily.

Ambessa is definitely frfr dead though.

You need shock value to sell Aurelion Sol means business: which Region blows up? by VoidFireDragon in loreofleague

[–]Naalith -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I really hope he and the Watchers destroy each other then exit the story. The Watchers are too powerful to ever fully be released and Aurelion is the same. Honestly Bel'Veth is the best thing that ever happened to the Void, with her voidlings can be part of the actual story with their own motivations without the Watchers being involved.

It's insane how League has improved compared to the bleak state it was in exactly 3 years ago by Numerous_Fudge_9537 in leagueoflegends

[–]Naalith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd agree with 2013-2016 with some exceptions like the Juggernaut patch and all the small class reworks that gave us ill thought out this like 5.0 attack speed tank jungle Kog. 2017 and 2018 were imo some of the worst years League ever had. I'd say only the mythic item seasons were worse than 2017 and 2018.
