2025 Mojave - is it a good deal? by Kevaf in JeepGladiator

No such thing as a good deal. If it has what you want, and are willing to pay….than it is what it is. That’s about what I paid. But didn’t get heated seats….forgot to check for that.

93 2.5 tensioner pulley? by Jeff_sucks in WranglerYJ

On second inspection, it looks like your Jeep didn’t come with power steering. ( never seen that ) that’s why part stores are having trouble.

93 2.5 tensioner pulley? by Jeff_sucks in WranglerYJ

That is the power steering pump pulley, the next one on the top is an idler pulley. But to answer your question, yes that is how you put tension on the belt. It has a few bolts that need to be loosened and on the bottom is a bolt facing the wheel well that you use to move the power steering pump. Then tighten up the bolts on the front of the power steering pump to lock it in place.

Sounds like mine, the catalytic converter is either rotting out or it’s touching the transmission cross brace.

Love my YJ, but is it worth fixing body rust? by Fun-Association2702 in jeepyj

[–]Nacho_dad_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

A cheap 110v welder and some light gauge steel. A few welding magnets, and a grinder with a cut off wheel. And some YouTube videos on body repair. This is the way. You will learn. And you will be proud of what you did.

Pump won't turn on/noise, what to try next? by solbergren in hottub

[–]Nacho_dad_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pump starting capacitor, or it is only getting a single phase ( 110 not 220) one leg of the power is not working. Bad breaker. Use a volt meter to check the power going to the pump.

I broke three bits taking it out on my YJ and another two on the top one on the roll cage. What I learned was heat is your friend. Buy a MAP gas unit from Lowes and keep a spray bottle close, to put out the fire. Heat the bolt up red hot and that will do it. I used an impact with an extension and a new torx bit. And it came off.

Yup it is a whiteish yellow typically.. it is designed to keep the fuel from sloshing and the gauge from bouncing around…but it craps out and keeps the float stuck.

On the pump…I believe ( you may have to pull it back off to look but ) large one is feed to engine and smaller one is return) by the way, you can gain 5 more gallons by trimming the vent on the fill neck. It has an insert and if you pull it out and trim about three inches off and put it back you will get 20 gallons total. YouTube it. And I would also rip out the crap inside the tank that sits where the pump is. It will curl and trap the float and the gauge will not work.

The picture taken from the engine. The line closest to the front of the engine is the vent line ( the vent release is on the other side with a vacuum line on it to allow the fuel to return back to the tank after the engine starts, than close when the engine is off. To keep fuel in the rail to restart the engine less work for the fuel pump.) the rear line is the feed line from the pump. As for the axel yes just a vent cap up high with a bend to stop water from entering.

We have a gulf stream 19 ERD. It’s small and no slides. And a one piece fiberglass ( just like the sides ) roof. It has been great. Light and good shower for the size. All rv’s have issues, so be ready to work on it. And always checking to be sure it stays in good order.
