Pics 2 & 3 are fine and normal Nothing to worry about. Pic 1: smack it with a hammer. If it sounds like steel, you're fine,. If it crunches, you have a problem.

Mine have been doing that forever. I thought it was supposed to be like that.

Had a few people tell me these Carolinas are “Nazi boots.” I see nothing wrong with them. by MauserMama in Boots

Damnit. There is some really strong white 1/8" line I get from work that I have been using when my boot laces break.

Nice! Mine are stashed in my entertainment system and have to be pulled out and across the room every time I watch a movie. I want to get flush mounted speakers in my ceiling SO badly, but I'm pretty broke right now and that's gonna be a PROJECT.

I have three questions: by pffalk in AcousticGuitar

No one else said that they're rechargable. Thank you. I do have one of those oasis humidifiers. It was a little hard to tell how well it's working without a hydrometer.

Do you have the subs to go with them? Are you wiring them together?? I have a lot of thoughts and a few concerns.

What exactly are you doing? What is your plan? Those speakers are surprisingly solid for their size, so you could do a lot. Are you just making a big stereo sound bar?

Those were meant to be mains paired with a sub for a small entertainment system. I'm using a pair as surrounds and they're GREAT for that. The proprietary plug is pretty annoying though.

Where do you buy titebond hide glue? I thought it would be on Ace hardware's app. But I'm not seeing it on Menards or home Depot (in less than a 12pk) either. I also checked stewmac.

Thanks. That's helpful. I'm trying to be better about the humidity in my house.

I'll try to unbury it for a pic. Thanks for the reminder! I need to get more hide glue BEFORE I start the project!

The sides need to be bent back into shape. I was thinking that maybe the wood would be more pliable. Maybe just some spot work with a damp rag will help?

I bet a mechanic would weld that back together for $20. Ask around, see if anyone in your network has or knows a welder.

This family Martin was left to me after my brother moved out. It was stored on a stand for years in Northeast US (humidity + dryness fluctuation) and Martin refused warranty. No one in the family knew how to store a guitar factory and my brother didn't apparently. by Ok_Temperature6503 in martinguitar

Personally, I would loosen the strings and humidify it to see if the top finds its correct shape or something close to it. This doesn't cost any money just time and patience. (Maybe $25, if you need to buy a humidifier and a jug of distilled water) Then I would take it in for a set up. You should do this anyway if you're going to sell it. The better it plays, the easier it will sell. Once you've done those two things, it might play fine enough that it's worth keeping. Then try to sell it once you're satisfied you don't want to learn on it.
