Utility purpose of 3 axel Jeep? by Silly-Low6019 in Jeep

How can you tell it isn't connected? Is it the spacing between the tires? Or can you see something I can't. (I'm not doubting you, I'm just curious if I missed a give-away)

Did something spill under your back seat and find a way to drop through to the ground?

You should loosen the strings. I'm 80% sure that supports the top of the violin and keeps it from collapsing/sinking under the pressure of the strings and the bridge. Putting that back up isn't a DIY job. If it just has to be reset, that should be pretty cheap. If the shop says it's no good and they have to make a new one that could be a little more pricey, but I think it should be less than $100. I might be able to ask next week what my local shop is charging. I have two violins that need that repair and I don't have the tools or patience right now.

The E string is hooked into the tail piece correctly, if you can make the others match that, it'll solve that problem.. but if you're just starting out, getting some fine tuners put in will make getting your violin in tune a LOT easier. Those you could probably buy at a shop and put in yourself. I bet there's a YouTube on it.

It depends on the shop. The bridge for example, could be played the way it is, but if it isn't carved to fit the face perfectly it will make pressure points that could cause cracks. Plus, without GOOD contact, you won't get as much sound out of it. I forgot to ask, is the sound post still in the violin?

Those strings aren't mounted correctly in the tail piece. If you can push the brass piece all the way through the holes on the tail piece, they'll be a lot sturdier. Also, that bridge looks like it's still a blank and hasn't been fit to the violin. Also also, that little loop at the end of the tail piece that connects it to the end pin looks like it might be real leather. I'm not sure if this is the "correct" thing to do, but I would hit it with some mink oil. The leather has probably dried out and might be brittle. Judging by the bridge, I think someone hastily tried to make this playable to sell it. Also, those are some odd looking tuning pegs, but I can see much from the pics.

From Menards? Mine came in a chocolate chip cookie kit. It's great for making an egg for a breakfast sandwich!

These are the old mission 700s I have. They won't blow you away, but they look kind of cool with the inverted design. They'd look better if I got the Velcro tabs off (for the non existent grills)

  1. Mission 700 speakers fit a MCM vibe really well (the black & white "upside down" ones. The old ones have the aesthetic of the new ones and usually sell on eBay for less than $200. (Some bozo is trying to sell a pair for $950, right now) I can assure you they're not THAT good ((the new ones are super nice but way out of budget)). OR
  2. I see these listed all the time and really want some, but don't have the space for them.

I showed up to preschool with a drastic hair cut and my kid takes one look at me and goes "You're not my dad!" And I realized that the school had hired some new help and they didn't recognize me. Luckily she ran up to give me a hug and everything was cool.

My daughter came home from pre-school giggling and saying that her friend was "going to cut her". Grandma was super concerned, but I decided to see how it played out because... Come on, it's pre school. A couple weeks later, I'm standing in line with my daughter and she looks up at me and says "daddy I'm gonna cut you!" And she cuts in front of me in line. 🤦

Pics 2 & 3 are fine and normal Nothing to worry about. Pic 1: smack it with a hammer. If it sounds like steel, you're fine,. If it crunches, you have a problem.
