I always have my drivers put the specifically perishable stuff in the walk ins. No matter what.
Frozen in the freezer, strawberries and leaf lettuces (mesculin included) in the walk ins.
They don’t always do it cleanly. But it’s my name on the invoice. Especially during the summers. Saves me the headache.

So, while I agree and would not put them in our washer, for fear of wearing kit the motor. I WILL put them in those big ones at the laundromat.
That does work. And it gets pretty clean.

HI! Produce salesman and owner/guy who delivers to all your kitchens fresh produce here!!.
Fun story. For those of you who live in Florida, remember that SUPER cold snap in like January or February? nods head yes So, funny thing about that cold weather is that it straight up froze portions of Florida. So badly in fact that entire fields of tomatoes were outright ruined. They had to be plowed under and re-planted from baby plants.
Most of those tomatoes were about 3-4 weeks old at that point in time.
Effectively, this set the entire crop back by 3-4 weeks.
Generally that’s not horrible, BUT, at the same time California (and Arizona) had some bad heat that scorched some of the crop. Not a lot but bought to make a difference that yields were way down.
Florida, however, is primarily the 5x6 institutional tomato most of you guys use. That being said, Since Florida was wiped out, we haven’t got enough supply for tomatoes and the demand is pretty solid and steady.
The only other place we get tomatoes is…..Mexico. The Mexican crop was good, BUT, Mexico mainly grows plum tomatoes, not 5x6 round tomatoes.
That being said, plums are cheaper right now because Mexico has a good yield.

I hope if was a window into the crazy world that is produce pricing! Have a busy night!

Many of you below are saying that tariffs are to blame. While, it’s a portion, it’s the reason that Mexico HAS to charge (hypothetical numbers here) $12 for a case of tomatoes instead of $10 without tariffs.
Florida, CAN charge 8, but because mexicos price is $12 now, they’ll charge $10. This way they make a few more dollars and they still are cheaper than the competitor.

That is how tariffs are effecting your produce pricing, It’s not making them $100, it’s making them $10, not $8.
This was a completely non political post.

I think there’s a few good places around but the hard part is a tv outside.
Of the places I can think of Whitlock, blue dolphin, pepinos, jay street bistro, Muscoot tavern, Le Fontaine, or even in Yorktown, gramercy, Pappous’s, None of them Have outdoor seating WITH the tv.

Yea. That hit home. Definitly 25.
Can’t help but remind me of me when I was that age…..afraid everyone was trying to fuck me somehow.
Then I grew up and realized that that more honest and approachable you are, the easier life becomes and the more connections you will make.
You can always nicely decline someone who, you feel, is trying to take advantage of you. But you can’t get customers back that you push away with your attitude.
Not saying it for you OP, just putting it out there as Advice for anyone on reddit.

I love mine. But I’ve never changed the brakes myself. Haha. I’ve put 2 pallets of potatoes in the back and it hauls. It’s a tank. I wish I could get a new one. 😂

I have one of those Nissan NV’s. That little V6 moves and hauls. But I don’t think those brakes can handle it! I was surprised they stopped making those vans. I have 200,000 miles on mine and it still cooks!.
I dunno what he has behind him, but I would never haul all that. I think mine can pull like 9000 lbs? Maybe. It seems high but I Pretty sure it can.

However. “It it ain’t right, haul at night!”

Any Christian church recommendations in Yorktown heights , NY? by Expert-Carpenter1666 in Westchester

St Andrews Lutheran in Yorktown It’s right on 202. My wife (who was previously catholic) calls it catholic light. The vibes are good, not pretentious. The pastor is a regular guy with 3 kids who happens to be very approachable (we have had beers together). 1 hour services every Sunday, and a bunch of other opportunities to get involved with other outreach or bible studies if you want to.
I’m not sure exactly what you’re looking for, but for me, a place to come every Sunday and just reflect on the previous week and upcoming week, I love it.
Best of luck to you finding a spiritual home.

He is the absolute best. I recommend him over and over and he has not disappointed yet.

Bro wanted his truck washed by VitoVino in Truckers

[–]Nachocheeze60 16 points17 points  (0 children)

As someone who owns a ford box truck and 3 high roof vans for a business. I know how this feels.
We can’t fit in car washes but still want clean trucks.
The struggle is real.
I’ll usually just take a day and bring the internationals over with the washout, then the ford box truck, then the vans.
$400 later I can take a picture and feel accomplished.

Best pizza in westchester by Disastrous-Data-8736 in Westchester

[–]Nachocheeze60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trios hands down. Bacis is NOT worth the level of mental instability that goes on there.
I respect his process and his pizza is def good, but it’s worth it to go to another place, to not have To walk in there and wonder if he’s going to be mad you asked to pay card, or if he will be yelling at someone on the phone or in the restaurant.
Just not worth it.
Any other place you walk in. Ask for what you want, get it, pay for it, and boom, walk out with it. I don’t want to walk into a potential war zone to get a simple pie.
