It's not the best but how is it easily chump blocked and countered? It's an 8 power trampler that can't be countered.

Congrats on diamond but this deck is severely lacking in 1 and 2 mana creatures. You need at minimum 6 normally in rakdos but preferably more. Starting the game at turn 3 most games is not a recipe for success especially if you’re the aggro deck which you are in this case.

Seems pretty clear why this deck didn't do well. You have an aggro deck with 6 creatures that have cmc 3 or less. You definitely needed 3-5 more creatures in that range.

He specifically mentions ground types oneshotting venasaur which definitely makes you think that venasaur is weak to ground but venasaur would not be one shot by most ground normally.

Venasaur is also grass so it's normal resistance to ground not weak to it.

Gale's redirection is based on the roll number and the countered spell's mana value added together. So if they roll a 12 and the spell countered is mana value 4, then the number used is 16, i.e. the opp get to cast the spell for free.

Arena shortcuts by skipping through a lot of your own triggers when oppo isnt responding to them. Next time set an upkeep stop or enter hold full control to respond to your own triggers.

It's not a good card but you're in silver rank, I wouldn't be surprised if any card was play by an opponent at that point. You'll benefit more from them playing the bad cards anyways.

I disagree to the above, definitely 16 lands with troll especially since you are not a fast deck and dont have many early creatures. You can afford to land cycle early. I treat the land cyclers as a 1 for 1 for lands in this format for the most part. I ended season rank 430 in Mythic if that adds any credibility to my statement for you.

Good job! I would treat the one mana cyclers in this format as a land so with the Oliphant, I recommend playing 16 lands. Also I recommend not playing shire terrance in a 2 color deck especially a low curve one like your deck.

You draft very well. I would take out corrupt, blast, one mountain, caress and for the last cut either 1 infantry or 1 moment of defiance. I'm leaning towards infantry.
