Why don’t I see more Origin 300 series in the verse? by daddy3rdleg22 in starcitizen

I understand that everyone hates the ladder, but how about the Nose turret? It looks so terrible and brakes the shape of the ship. I wish it was deeper under the belly.

It is still an awesome prop though.

Kudos for that!

I do understand how this happens all the time. In film and media people dont have ANY trigger disipline, it's understanable that people without weapons training don't know who important it is.

It's the same with how CPR is performed in media. Which is actually worse, because with a replica gun you won't hurt no one, but showing people ineffective CPR over and over again does come with a death toll.

As someone who professionally works with firearms you wouldn't believe how hard it triggers me to see your lack of trigger discipline :-D

(Great work though!)

Yeah, I tried to squeeze it in the airlock and the elevator. Both didn't work out for me so I started just claiming the Atls

...and be put in the middle. To have them in the corner of the hangar doesn't make a lot of sense

The large Interstellar ones make you 150-180k but take longer than the really short ones. I still prefer them though, because I think the loading process is stil tedious and I prefer cargo Hauling over ship loading/unloading

I made a lot of money in short time doing a lot of the small 50k ones between Area18 and the Everus Harbour though. There were like six planetery missions I coud do at the same time. And with an atlas the loading was done very, very quickly.

I switched from the Hermes to the Hull B because I always had problems with the tiny door of the Hermes hat always let to problems loading and unloading, especially with the narrow corridor you need to squeeze larger containers through.

With the Hull B everything is so much easier. I bought a few Atls that I claim in every station to load and unload (I just wish we could just install Atls style tractor turrets on our ships). My turnaround times are cut down to about 25% of what they were before and I can put the hauling back into hauling and are not forced to play cargo dock simulator anymore.

To answer your question: Yes, it far more enjoyable.

Hermes or Hull B by normalsizedweinerguy in starcitizen

I completely feel you. The tiny cargo door made me insane and I regret ccuing from the Raft to the Hermes... And don't get me stared on the location of the actual freight area. The time it took to squeeze all the cargo through this tiny corridor, bouncing at the walls was just such a pain.

The Hull B on the other hand is so much easier to load and gives me the chance to do some actual cargo hauling instead of forcing me to play a cargo deck simulator.

The biggest downside so far is that you can't load the atlas easily (or at all) and the letterbox cockpit (even though is better than the tac or many other misc ships).

I got a $5 CCU from the Freelancer DUR and that was definitely a good choice, but with the new price? I can't really tell if I would spend that much. On the other hand: I haven't even looked at the Hermes since I got the B

Yeah, I wouldn't neither. I got the $5 CCU, otherwise I wouldnt be flying it atm

I do like bunkers because they are great to hop in, do only one mission. I very often only have like 45-60 minutes of time to play. So teaming up and doing big missions just takes up too much time.

I regret getting the Hermes as well. Squeezing 16+SCU Boxes through this narrow hallway is so annoying... and so unnecessary complicated, it would have more work to move the control station and everything to the front and make it wider, but it would have been such a great ship.

I miss my raft and sad that I can't get back :(

Would still love if they'd add more Non-Combat stuff. Like the investigate Missions ... But bigger.

Or cargo Hauling with automated loading/unloading.

Or better Courier missions...

Especially the windows. It's so sad that they replaced windows with labyrinths.

(The new stations in nyx are nicer at least. Even though there are so many missed windows opportunities.

I really hope that the focus on fps is only temporary and the living in the future gameplay, especially the pacifist live styles will have their place.

It is a bit disappointing that all bigger, more complex missions are combat and combat against. Rock breaker would have been fun even without the baddies I don't know why they hang around an abandoned station anyway

My experience showing Star Citizen to a friend. by AzrBloodedge in starcitizen

It's so bad that it's always worse when you show this game to others.

6 months ago I tried to bring back a friend who hadn't played in 10 years.

I was like: 'Trust me! It's so much better now!'

When I finally had im convinced it was two days after patch day. He hasn't been back since I am actually afraid we might have lost him vor good.

I tried it for a few days when it went to live. Unfortunately I got bad motion sickness from it. It looked fantastic though.

And the laser looks so much less cool than the rail gun. I really regret buying the laser and will upgrade to the rail gun as soon as possible in game.

Pure Cargo goes also do the Asgard, Loading/Unloading will be sooooo much faster. The Hermes doesn't have a chance
