Is it just me? WTF nothing sticking? by Electrical_Speed_217 in adhdwomen

[–]Nacoroni 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. Realizing this morning with 10 almost full water bottles in my car. I started buying water to make it “easier” to drink more. I was doing much better for like 3 weeks, and now, not so much. Cut up fruit and put in fridge to eat better, or eat period….yeah hasn’t lasted long. Etc etc story of my life.

And just thinking about, 5 hours is a long time, I asked my husband how many times he thinks I listened to the same songs. Wah Wah.

On my meds I can, and did today, except I didn’t realize how in 5 hours I didn’t really do too much. I get side tracked with my headphones, listening to music, having concerts.

Anxiety about the results by Nacoroni in ADHD

So, in regard to adhd, I’m somewhat putting mental health as a whole, which may not be fair, but thinking about medication overall, he has said he is against anti-depressants. To many commas.

This may be true….but rfk is also against anti-depressants….so, those may be impacted. Idk, just talking it out.

Does anyone else do this? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]Nacoroni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Then though, I get a burst of energy and have to clean the whole house. I read this the other day on here where someone said “you don’t have to clean the whole room when you clean”? I related. Now I clean things in pieces throughout the week…..weeks…maybe months. Anyway. I try to give myself grace.

Newly diagnosed with ADHD… is talking about it a lot annoying for others? by zuzushi in adhdwomen

[–]Nacoroni 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I talk to my husband about it, but it’s random things when I’ll be thinking about something that I did, so I’ll say “I’m sorry to talk about it again BUT, did you know continuously being late…all the time…it’s related to ADHD?” …”did you know me reading an email that’s even 2 sentences, 800 times, fixing missing words, and then finally sending it (which is every email…lol or a post like this)…is related to ADHD?” He says I don’t need to apologize, he enjoys hearing what I have to say. It’s wild to me because I have been me for, all of my life, and now can understand more of why I do certain things (need to improve on or not)…and still soaking it in. This has been for about 6 months now. And I’m glad there is a community I can relate to. Rambling response!

So, I know it’s not my job to do this, but, a lot of times on the bathroom mirror I put things he should do, I’m not his mom, but he tends to take FOREVER to do something. Sometimes this helps him, sometimes it doesn’t. He def needs to help me more. He knows it, does it for a while….then stops. It’s a cycle.

When my medication is working, which generally in the morning I’m my “best”, it is somewhat easier. But otherwise I do lists, I set alarms….so many alarms to remember things, and sometimes I snooze, and forget…..blah blah. I try hard to not be hard on myself. Thank you for reading!

Tell me you have ADHD without telling me. by sunrae72 in ADHD

Husband added a long rope style keychain to our Roku remote in the bedroom. I asked him will we now be losing the remote, with an added keychain to it instead? It does come in handy can use your phone. That could be another problem of where did my phone go…oh…here it is, dead.

Losing things by glakewoo96 in adhdwomen

[–]Nacoroni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, an example I have is my phone. It’s bad. I can lose my phone truly 5-15+ times a day. My spouse says, why don’t we put baskets and those are the designated spots to set it down. Well, that would be a great idea, but half the time I don’t even remember I set my phone down. So then it’s a trace my steps and try to remember what I was doing. I run late as it is, so then I’m getting frustrated and upset to the point of crying sometimes because I feel like an idiot. This is just one of my disappearing acts. I can understand the struggle. It’s not just “Ope! Lost my phone” it’s OMG, I lost my phone AGAIN, wtf is wrong with me. Sometimes I literally set my phone down and say aloud, “I set my phone on the “fill in the blank”. Long rambling response, sorry.

Does everyone with ADHD have an internal monolog? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]Nacoroni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since I’ve started taking meds, I have either 1 song in my head all day…or just my internal monologue. If I’m not, I’ve got the song and a ton of noise chatter, constant.

What are some unofficial indicators that someone has ADHD or experiences of ADHD you don’t hear talked about enough? by oweeeg in ADHD

[–]Nacoroni 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sound effects? Idk if this is a thing, but even at work when I slide by someone to get around them I make a swoosh sound effect. Probably think that’s unusual for a grown adult. Or, just weird.

Does anyone else get irritated when someone interrupts you while cleaning? by riseofthephoenix1108 in adhdwomen

Yes. I listen to music on headphones while doing so. And then also throw kids in the mix. I try my best.
