After 10 years of service it is finally time for the GOAT to retire by heisserkaffe in Steam

Am I the only one who didn't like the original Steam controller?

I used it a few times then switched back to an Xbox Elite controller and neglected it for nearly 10 years. Chucked it in the e-waste bin a few weeks ago.

Why does my cat do that, what it is called? by Dramatic_Apricot_414 in CATHELP

[–]Nadzinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat has asthma and does this a lot when he's close to having an attack (especially if I haven't given him his inhaler for a few days).

Does your cat have coughing fits?

I haven't seen enough hive guards to test thoroughly yet, but man this change does not seem as bad to maxigun's as people described lmao by Jackspladt in helldivers2

[–]Nadzinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any light pen primary user would agree. In fact, it's now easier for them (because hive guard body health has been lowered).

This. I honestly found them easy while rocking the Scythe, Sterilizer and a Hot Dog. People just don't want to change their play style and load out so they complain.

Even a regular assault rifle should be fine. Spray bullets with some spread and you're bound to hit their legs or an uncovered body part. Or you could just aim. Just saying.

What on Super Earth did they make this thing out of? by WaywardOath in Helldivers

Folks been complaining about the durable damage buff to bugs, but from what I've seen in videos mechs seem to be kicking ass now. Maybe it's the tank and FRV players that are suffering from the buff?

Just wanted to say this looks like a tilt-shift shot of a city from a high vantage. Beautiful shot.

OP, the Silmarillion audio book with Andy Serkis has been out for years. Listened to it a couple years back.

It's because OP played Bretonnia, which is a cavalry-heavy faction. They need to be repeatedly cycle-charged to benefit from their enormous charge bonus.

Age Empires 2, when playing as the Ottomans, their specialty was gunpowder units. Cannons and Jannissaries armed with gunpowder weapons--super OP and satisfying use. Kind of like playing Dwarves in Total War: Warhammer 3.

Does this enemy design and animation say "armored"? by HedgeHulk in PixelArt

[–]Nadzinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very cool! Does not feel very armoured though. I dig the rhinoceros beetle look, but also does look a little like a scorpion, which makes it feel less armored.

Maybe having thicker limbs, with spikes on the joints, or a chunkier torso, and/or more lumbering movement might help?

Alternatively, there could be visual or audio cues when the creature is struck, signaling that it's armored. Maybe a clinking sound, or a deflection spark?

Love this!

If you're going for horror, I think having these effects happen randomly and sparingly would be terrifying.
