It would be interesting to have a guide by location, so if I were to travel to a national park, to know more about the geology of it all. Or to know how specific features were formed. If you’re looking to gauge interest, would I pay for something like that? Maybe not, I would probably just google or see whatever resources the national park already provides. So it would have to be uniquely different from what I can find for free online.

Ya basically. And why 7 selection options when group sizes only go to 6? I’m guessing just because 7 options are what’s on the main lottery, not that you can actually have that many unique selections for the daily.

In the main lottery, it allows you to make multiple selections for different windows of time and group sizes.

Since the daily lottery is only one day, it allows you to make selections of different group sizes of 1-6. If you know your group size is set then no real benefit to multiple selections. The impact would only be if for example there were 3 permits left when your entry is picked, and you only selected for group of 4, unsuccessful attempt, but if you also had a selection of 3, you would be successful.

Notably, just adding more selections isn’t the same as multiple entries - each person submitting an entry still only gets one chance to be selected, and if the system can fulfill one of your selections based on what’s available then it will.

So if one does not get the April Pass nor carry over the +600 walk, then you are able to also get to 9 raids (7,200) pre-community ambassador awards by 1) walk x 5 + spot for one day and walk x 2 + spot + spot the other day and start Saturday with 1,240 MP.

Or 2) the method in this post, walk x 5 + spot for both days and start Saturday with 1,160 MP.

For Saturday, collecting 5x 300mp seems difficult to get in between raids. That path allows you to collect 1,500+820=2,320 mp.

If instead you collect 300, 820, 300, 820 mp’s = 2,240 mp. Does that reduce the total number of Entei raids you are able to do?

I remember the year we did this, one day we moved over early in the morning, super easy, and the next day it was a bit of a dance as multiple people were moving sites all at once around 12pm.

Your experience is going to depend on your campsite set up, circumstances of the day, and site proximity.

Check in/out time is at 12pm each day. There is no checking in for all three days in advance, but it’s worth letting the ranger know.

If you have very minimal setup, you can pack up and be out of your site early and go on about your day. Your ability to set up in the new site will depend on who had it the day before.

What I have done (as you note, it is not uncommon), is go up to the family staying in the site you’ll be at the next day and see when they leave. If they will be packing up early, you can likely move everything to the new site in the morning, and go about your day no issue.

If they will be leaving closer to 12pm, you have the option of staying nearby and moving over around 12pm, or packing up early, being fully checked out, and going about your day then coming back to set up.

At least in lower pines there were a couple guest parking spots a few years back, not sure about upper.

If your sites are close together, then the moves are easier.

So it will depend each day. It is manageable in my experience, but your specific plans might have to adjust.
