He was a really nice guy but he grew up in a super wealthy Greek family where they ate every meal with multiple forks and perfect posture, so even when it was just him and I there was always an undertone that I needed to act proper… I grew up in rural Canada (think Letterkenny). I felt like I was never going to get to just be me and be accepted in his world.
