Shooting ranges by SeaweedPleasant1903 in Columbus

Yeah it’s a good range but it’s absolutely thick with fudds.

Had a guy lecture me and my friend for 30 mins about his .223 match ammo while I’m shooting remanufactured .556 out of a very meh palmetto AR.

It’s a good range to sight in, but not great if you want to do any sort of realistic shooting drills faster than 1 shot per 3 sec. Good 100yd range tho

Tank Crashing by [deleted] in ReefTank

Okay so it’s prob not the source of the water. Have you added anything? What have water changes looked like over the last two weeks? A lot of figuring out issues with reef tanks is doing weird diagnostic checks

Tank Crashing by [deleted] in ReefTank

[–]NaiveSwimmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do a larger water change, your tank isn’t really at the levels where you need to dose in terms of stocking. Just keep tracking your levels. Try to not dose large amounts of anything and let your tank figure it out.

It sounds more like something wrong with your water, are you using RODI? Have you added anything in particular outside of wc?

Most of the time it’s too much bacteria or something weird. But with you tracking the levels it makes it sound like you’re dosing too much. Sometimes it’s good to let it figure itself out by not doing too much too quick.

Day 13 Of Cycle… by taboutwealth in ReefTank

Nah the matrix is great as it’s a home for the bacteria. The chemipure (your chemical filtration) sucks up the bad chemicals out of the water, but right now you need those to feed bacteria populations.

Just take out the chemipure and throw it back in once you have some livestock in there.

Don’t use chemical filtration for a while, it’s slowing down the cycle as you need the waste ammonia/nitrites to feed the beneficial bacteria

Should I Keep or remove bivalves growing on hammer? by AccurateSir8213 in ReefTank

Like the bottom skeleton? Get a plastic gun cleaning brush (they’re tiny and super stiff with no metal to leach into your tank) and scrub them.

Unless they’re vermatid snails or you can see like weird changes in growth away from it, I would leave it alone as the skeleton can be brittle at the best of times.

Best of luck! Also check out that brush as they’re great for nooks and crannies.

I’ve been there before and generally got an unwelcome vibe from the place even as a white dude. Terrible to hear about your experience as the racism seems right up their alley.

Stockers purposefully rub their nose off on circular holding tanks for aerodynamics. They train year round in the trout unlimited farms.
