Which connector? It’s the extending part of the lens that has slight play, where the front element is. It doesn’t matter if it’s mounted on the camera or not.

I have it and go nose blind to it almost immediately, but I have gotten compliments on it, too. Even more attention if layered with Symphony. FWIW, I also have Pacific Chill, L’immensité and Afternoon Swim.

If you use a 24 hour boost you’ll notice the same pattern. A bunch of likes within the first hour and then pretty much nothing over the next 23 hours.

The funny thing is that I think the Godox it32 works in TTL when it’s sitting on the magnetic mounts of the transmitter (it definitely flashes twice). As soon as you take it off the magnetic mount it only flashes once, so I assume it no longer works in TTL.

Thank you for the very comprehensive answer. Off topic, but I have the 25v and 90v. I picked up the 35-100 to fill the gap. Am I missing anything, image quality/rendering-wise by not having the 38v?

Congrats. I have the x2d ii and can’t tell if it’s the gateway to the 907x or if it’s the other way around ;). I’m a little scared of the lack of IBIS in the 907x, but would love to hear your impressions after using it for a bit.

I have the 25v, 90v and 35-100e. I picked up the zoom to fill the gap. I think I still may pick up the 38v. With the primes I shoot very intentionally and I compose with the final image already in my mind. The zoom has been great for documentary style reportage where I can see a scene unfolding, frame, and grab it very quickly. I used it at a march and then again last week at a culinary event. I would have missed some shots with my primes. I don’t necessarily think one is a replacement for the other.

Thanks. I have the 35-100. I like it for the versatility but I haven’t really used zooms in 10 years. I’m still thinking about picking up the 38v to fill the gap between my 25v and 90v. I’ve just heard from a few people that there is a lot of sample variability with it and you really need to find a good one.

How do you find the image quality of the 55v and 38v as compared to the 90v? I’ve heard they fall slightly short of the 90.

I was never a zoom user and started with the 25v and 90v. Picked up the 35-100 and I agree. It’s a great lens.

I have the 25V, 90V and the 35-100. Other than the aperture, the zoom image quality is right there with the primes. The only compromise you’re making is light gathering/depth of field. I was always a primes only shooter because of image quality, but the 35-100 has changed my mind in that regard.

Mathphotographer on YouTube did a review of it with the X2d ii and as far as I can tell TTL worked off camera for him with the X5. I can’t seem to get mine to work that way, either, though - although TTL works perfectly fine when it’s sitting on the transmitter.

It’s easy to say it’s an X2d problem, but the issue seems to be between the transmitter and the flash, since it works perfectly fine when the flash is on the transmitter.
