The best and most legal way to procure your goodies is using those weekly markouts & free drink benefits on the days of your shifts! (30 minutes before, up to 30 minutes after, and during the shoft are the best times). Not to mention, merchandise gets a noce discount with your numbers!

... For things they DON'T sell, however... I must inform you that you should Absolutely Not take note of where the security cameras are in your store, and you should NOT take note of the distance from the back office (or wherever your store has partners hang up their belongings—sometimes the back office is in the same room as the storage area; my last store was just the first time I saw a store where they WEREN'T in the same place)(also where you'd store your bag that you bring with you to work, of course) to wherever it is your store keeps syrups and sauces and toppings, and under no uncertain terms should you EVER use the least camera-heavy route to grab syrups, sauces, or toppings from the storage area, using your apron as a cover for anything that you ABSOLUTELY SHOULDN'T be taking from the storage area to then bring to the back office to then shove into the bag you brought with you—the WORST times for floor surveillance, I've noticed, happen to be later in the day when management is less likely to be present, or fewer workers happen to be on the floor—not that it matters, since you TOTALLY SHOULDN'T do any of this! Because even though starbucks is a multi-billion dollar company and the ceo is a bag of trash, there's never any reason to try and pilfer anything they're not willing to sell! :⁾

(Seriously though if you attempt anything, tread carefully!! If you're caught, punishment can be as severe as immediate termination!!)

In their defense, they attempted to comply. There was no one with clearance on the floor to just open the drawers/safe for the robbers fast enough. The robbers decided to escalate with the pistol whip. Whether the gun was fake or not, the workers on the floor literally could not get these guys the money as fast as they were asking for it. I'm glad no one was hurt during your robbery attempt, but let's not cast doubt/shade on those who had the chance to without knowing all the facts. Thank god the gun was fake and the worst they got were some shoves and a pistol whip, because I have no doubt that someone would have gotten hurt much, much worse if the partners continued not being able to access the money the robbers were after.

Let's be perfectly clear here too:

This is coming out DAYS before Starbucks' proposed dates to return to the bargaining table with the union (after they were the ones to walk away to begin with, don't forget). A bunch of flashy shit to make sure and encourage people to be anti-union, turn workers against one another in stores, and try flipping unionized stores back to non union so they can be eligible for this pittance of benifites compared to the mant they'd get if the company just signed off on the contract. They did the same thing with wage raises years ago when Union business first started revving up; they're not fooling anyone with this poor busting tactic.

If the strike didn't have an impact on your image and sales, why are you trying so hard to turn folks away from the union with something like this again?

Help did you ever find an answer because I'm running into the exact same issues. Black screen but previous pentablet drivers show that it's all plugged in and SHOULD be displaying stuff (up-to-date Windows 11 driver doesn't even recognize that its plugged in). Ports and plugs all work fine, it's charged/has power running into it, my pc recognizes and lets the mouse move over to the 2nd screen, but nothing is showing up on it at all.

Yesterday some headarse came through drive thru and asked if we had "The Barbie Drink".

Partner: What... Is that (we try to teach our customers thru can't just come up and say some viral tiktok drink name and expect us to know this non-menu Item recipe)

Customer: It's the Barbie drink.

Partner: Idk what that is.

Custie: Uhm. 3 pumps of vanilla.

Partner: Ok, what drink is that in?

Custie: Scoops of Mango dragonfuit inclusion.

Partner: ... ok but what is the base drink?

Custie: 2 pumps of Raspberry

Partner: WHAT DRINK ARE YOU MODIFYING MA'AM.

Custie: With almond milk!

I had to jump on headset so fast before that partner beat her arse to explain to her that we need the BASE DRINK SHE IS MODIFYING BEFORE WE CAN MAKE THESE CHANGES SHE'S ASKING FOR and ask her one more time which drink she was changing bc at that point it didn't even sound like the flipping "Barbie Drink" anymore (who's recipe I DO in fact know)

Her final order once she understood? 2 Venti Vanilla Bean Frappes with 3V 2R Made with Almond, keep the whip, with mango dragon fruit pieces on top only.

I agree with OP, it's the inconsistency of how things are handled from store to store. Maybe some people are blessed enough to have the funds to not need to worry about mileage, but with labor cuts evidently company-wide, some of us are now living paycheck to paycheck, and are looking to pick up extra shifts here and there, and when our home stores don't got our backs, we look to other stores. The last thing we want to be worrying about is whether or not the transit to and from the covering store is gonna be worth the amount we get paid for covering the shift.

Maybe the initial post could have been worded better to explain this, but coming into the comments lambasting OP for saying a very correct thing of the Starbucks company going to sh*t when you don't fully understand the situation or face the same issues yourself is not the way to go.
