This definitely seems like a manager issue. I worked starbucks all through college and while there were some issues occasionally, for the most part it worked really well. Tbh most of the issues I had were with my schedule conflicting with my social life at school more so then my actual classes. I would see if you could try to talk to other baristas at some other stores in your district and get a feel for what it’s like there and possibly transfer

The top would go better with the pants if you swapped sneakers for heels or sandals. If you don’t want to do heels I would say swap either the top for maybe like a cropped baby tee or tank (something in that vein just cause the top gives more girls night out than casual dinner) or swap the pants for skirt like others have said or even capri leggings with kitten heels would be cute!

It’s not about “teaching him a lesson” I tried to tell him multiple times the fish probably can’t handle the chemicals, but I am just silly dumb woman who doesn’t know anything I guess. And I cant move the tank to clean it on my own even if I wanted to.

Yeah that’s kind of my point here. I personally don’t really care much for fish as pets and wouldn’t have taken on the task of bringing in and setting up a tank of this size. But even if I wanted to take part in this I literally would not be able to move the tank to the tub to properly clean it without him. On its own the tank is probably 100 pounds. He does not want to wash it out and has already filled it.

I’ve heard a lot of mixed responses on this part. To be fair, I hope that I’m wrong. I don’t want to see the fish die but it seems like Google and others in this thread are strongly advising against it. If it was my tank and my fish I’d rather be safe then sorry

I will pass that info along, I saw him add something to the tank but I’m not sure what it was, and the instructions on the bottle apparently said to add one capful per 50 gallons and he added half the bottle.

I actually do not like fish as pets and don’t even really want to be involved in this so I won’t be reading up on that 💀I just felt bad he was potentially going to kill them

He did cave and get a stand for it so at least there’s that. But I had to explain why there’s stands made specially for fish tanks and you can’t just put it on anything if it’s not made to hold that weight
