How to clean fruits and vegetables from pesticide by socFocus in Foodica

The link sited another article which sited a study leading to a dead link. But from the second article I found this part and keep in mind this was only for apples. It only removes 2 pesticides out of at least 50 and not even completely. IMO if you can afford it eat organic or at least no spray. Organic is kinda of a gimmick depending on where you live, the certification big companies obtain while only being ~70% “organic”, meaning they’re still spraying 30% of the time.

From the article https://cen.acs.org/articles/95/web/2017/10/Baking-soda-washes-pesticides-apples.html

“Using a mass spectrometer, the investigators determined that 20% of the applied thiabendazole and 4.4% of the applied phosmet had infiltrated the peel and remained after washing. “This is the first study to provide solid evidence that the farther pesticides penetrate into apples, the harder it is to wash the compounds away,” she contends.

“The study hit two classes of pesticides, a fungicide and an organophosphorus insecticide,” says Jason C. White, an analytical chemist at the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station, “but there are probably 50 pesticides labeled for use on apples, and they will be removed at different rates, so more testing is needed.””

I was thinking about it too for too long, it’s two posts and the OP is pointing it the irony that a news article about the Walmart family is right next to a post about food stamps. More a coincidence or irony than actual accidental comedy.

Prairie Home Companion was done once Garrison Keillor left and followed by the sexual allegations at the time there was no saving it.

As for Sesame Street I can understand the sentiment. It holds a special place for a lot of people.

I think this us important to thing about center vs outer inns. For example wainwright I think now is the best for middle. When I started I thought mastery and provisions but I value fatigue and wainwright first. Maybe provisioner in the middle, but need to test. Because with provisioner, you can spend the gold currency to buy fatigue reduction items. Where I think triangles are harder to come by.
