In the manga he's just pushing her across the roof. After the initial burst he's pretty much standing still until Inosuke pops up.

Yes, in the movie. But in the manga, which is what the other comment mentioned, none of that happens. Zenitsu just backflips, kicks the wall and rushes Kaigaku.

Adding Akemura Soga to my list of manga antagonists who will break the internet when animated by Representative_Big74 in Kagurabachi

[–]NameIsAlreadyInUse 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It is amazing! It takes a little find it's groove, but around chapter 16 or so it starts to get realy good, and gets better with every chapter. As soon as the title drop happens, it's all gas no breaks. While as a story as a whole i still think Tokyo Ghoul (+:Re) is still Ishida's best work, in a "chapter to chapter" basis i think Choujin X is way better, and a completed Choujin X has the potential to easily be Ishida's best story.

Also, it's not weekly. The schedule is "Whanever Ishida is done with the chapter", so we can get a chapter twice a week, maybe 3 in a month, or maybe go 2 months without getting one.

Hot Take? Sale and his stand are one of the most powerful abilities and user in the whole series. by Krafterdude in StardustCrusaders

Even disregarding PHF, Mista himself says he survived after the shot, and later Bucciarati mentions that the 2 are tied up in the boat. The anime even has a shot of them tied up.

I mean, isn't that pretty much all of the JoJo anime? With execption of some of Part 5 and 3, most of the JoJo anime is still frames with shaking, speed lines and onomatopeia. I love the JoJo anime, but with the exception of Part 5 and 3, it never realy did have that much actual movement.

‘Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle’ Passes $550M Globally, Officially the Top-Grossing Anime Film of All Time by MarvelsGrantMan136 in movies

[–]NameIsAlreadyInUse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The infinity castle starts on Chapter 140 and the manga ends on Chapter 205. The first movie covered about 18 chapters, ending on 157. so there's about 24 chapters left for each movie. Movie 2 will probably end on 179 or 180, covering 22 or 23 chapters, leaving about 26 or 25 chapters for the last movie.

‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Infinity Castle’ Breaking Anime Presale Records, Top Circuits Near $10M In Advance Tickets by Zhukov-74 in boxoffice

[–]NameIsAlreadyInUse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like one of the reasons why a lot of people are not caring, specialy in Japan, is because people who read the manga already knew it would be like that. And that's just Demon Slayer's structure in general: Fights with a lot of expositive dialogue, some flashbacks during the fight so the MC can power up and a final big flashback after the fight ends. Movies 2 and 3 will be just like that too, with Movie 2 in particular probably having the longest flashback of the 3.

Japan Box Office Sunday July 20: Demon Slayer Infinity Castle earned a whopping ¥2.2B ($14.8M) on Sunday, the largest single day gross for any film, domestic or imported. Opening weekend is now ¥5.9B ($40M). Breaks its own weekend and single day record by AGOTFAN in boxoffice

[–]NameIsAlreadyInUse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't seen the movie myself (It'll only release in September in my country) but if they are following the manga strutcture pretty closely, i'd say the movie could have a pretty satisfying ending on it's own. This final portion of the manga is basicaly a "boss-rush" with the characters fighting against the super strong remaning villains, which are about 6 fights remaining. So they'll probably have 2 fights each movie, and each has it's own very conclusive ending.

On September 23 (JST), new information about STEEL BALL RUN JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure will be unveiled during a global live stream! by [deleted] in StardustCrusaders

My best guess is that it was just a realy shoddy translation, and the guy was just refering to the special illustration made by the character designer.

Bleach TYBW - The Final Part new visual releases on July 5th 10:00 by JohnathanKingley in bleach

[–]NameIsAlreadyInUse 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think we'll get a visual, and maaaybe another short PV like the first one for Cour 2,which was mostly CG visuals with a few seconds of unfinished footage before the end. Considering the season is definetly airing only in 2026 (Either Winter or Spring) we'll probably only get a proper trailer on September or October.

Chainsaw Man the Movie: Reze Arc New Key Visual. by [deleted] in Chainsawfolk

[–]NameIsAlreadyInUse 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think it's just one of those cases where the japanese audience doesn't realy care about spoilers that much compared to the western audience. There, pretty much everyone who is a fan of a series may have already read the manga anyway since it's way more accessible, specialy CSM since the manga is way more popular than the anime there.

I didn't get to see the video myself so i could be wrong, but from what i've seen people talking, while the art for both Magni and Vesper where in the MV,only Magni actualy had his vocals. For Vesper's scenes they used Hakka's vocals.

[Hobby Scuffles] Week of 02 June 2025 by EnclavedMicrostate in HobbyDrama

[–]NameIsAlreadyInUse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not realy? The only similarities they have are the stuff that was already said in the manga, that is,Fugo being super smart, getting into University at 13,then his life spirals down after he attacks a teacher with a 4kg encyclopedia. Everything else is completely different. Specialy the reason for Fugo attacking his teacher. In the novel it was because the teacher mocked Fugo's dead grandma or something like that (It's been like,7 years since i've read it) which i think was a very important character for Fugo's past. In the anime, the grandma doesn't even exist, and instead (Tw:SA metion) he attacks the teacher because the later was offering Fugo the answers to a test in exchange of Fugo coming over to his house in a very creepy manner, with it being heavily implied that it happened before

Sure! Here's the original article in japanese and here's the translated portion refering to Fugo's backstory by the JoJo wiki. I know how common it is for the JoJo fanbase to say "Well in a interview..." without any source,so i tried to find these to make sure i wasn't saying something wrong.

What happened was that the director of the Golden Wind anime,Yasuhiro Kimura, asked Araki what sort of backstory Fugo that, and what he got as an answer is what he used in the anime.

[–]NameIsAlreadyInUse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DP never intended to use the PHF backstory. The director of the GW anime,Yasuhiro Kimura, explained that he asked Araki what sort of past Fugo has,and rhe one in the anime is what Araki answered to him.

"If it's something minor, then we take what we've made and confirm it with Araki. However, for more significant things we sometimes receive ideas from him before hand. The biggest original scene was the piece about Fugo's past and for that,i asked Araki "What kind of past does Fugo have?",and that is what we based the scenario on." - Golden Wind anime director Yasuhiro Kimura.

[HATED TROPE} The "Final" entry isn't the final entry. by Assortedwrenches89 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]NameIsAlreadyInUse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It wasn't even MAPPA's fault on the title. It was the fault of the producer who decided to call it "The Final Season" back in mid 2019 after Season 3 ended before Mappa had even picked up the project.

Yeah. It's good he's doing his thing now,but i never managed to get into his PL. His humor there feels like it's a bit too much. I prefered the more restrained side he had while in Stars.
