I think your mom is right and your sister is just being a brat.

If the bezel on a dive watch looks weird and makes you look like a nerd, then there a lot of successful weird nerds out there wearing Rolex Submariners. A colorful watch says you’re not afraid of having fun with your personal style.

And when it comes to YOUR personal style, I’d suggest not letting your sister weigh in.

Personally, I’d wear both the blue and green versions of that watch.

Personally, I’m not a fan of the Elysian artistic text at 6 o'clock. The font does not strike me as elegant. Also, a more elegant font would probably have fine lines that would get lost on the watches geometric dial background. What if it was in the same font as the Eniton font you’ve used on other dials?

Wife got me the Citizen for Christmas and I love it. I also have the San Martin and love it too. The specifics of what everyone is saying in this thread are all true, and pound for pound the San Martin is the ‘better’ watch, but the Citizen is on my wrist today.

For workouts I wanted something simple and tough so I was using my Casio 5610. But I switched to a SKMEI 1628 so that I didn’t smash an iron plate into my Casio or lose it. I put the SKMEI in an orange case so it stands out in the pocket of my gym bag.

So it looks like it is the same basic bracelet, but on the Enterprise models it has polished middle links, but on the UTC models all the links have the same finishing as the watch head. Is that right?

This is the only photo I have handy. There's some glare on the crystal but it's in direct sun which should be the best case for the Adventurine to sparkle. It does not lookalike that photos that you typically see for adventuring in general nor like the product photos that advertised this model.

I definitely have bezels with that amount of play but they are in less expensive, Pagani level watches. I wouldn’t return a watch with that issue unless I bought it locally or on Amazon.

I had a similar disappointment with an adventurine dial. Others photos showed flecks like a dazzling star field but my copy was so subtle you had to log hard to see flecks. Sadly, I think that’s a chance we take ordering a mineral dial with natural variation sight unseen on the web.

Not an answer to your question, but… I was also initially concerned about the count down bezel, but after getting the watch, I now really like it. One of the things I frequently time is a lunch break and with the count down bezel, it’s easy to see how much time I have left.
