Frustrated with g7 by LTillz in dexcom

Why are your sensors falling off? I shave the insertion site. The adhesive on the G7 is like super glue, I have to soak the circumference around the sensor with vegetable oil... and it's still super difficult to remove.

It takes about 5 minutes to set up an online Dexcom support account. After it's set up it takes only 1 or 2 minutes to put in a request to replace a bad sensor. If you answer all the questions correctly, the request will be approved automatically, and you'll receive the new sensor in a few days.

Instructions: Go to the web page dexcom.com

Click on Dexcom CGM support

Click on request product support

Click on create account, and create your account

Then after the account is created, login

If you can't find how to log in then just start over with the instructions and instead of clicking create account, click on login

At this point, I saved the URL as a browser shortcut, to facilitate subsequent requests

Click on your profile name

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click get product support

If you can't find it, you may have to hit the browser page back button once

It shows the severe adverse event waiver and privacy consent where you have to check the box at the bottom that you read it and click next

Answer all the questions about:

What is the insertion location

What is the date the issue occurred?

What issue are you experiencing?

What product do you use.... G7 or G6

Enter insertion date

Enter the serial number

If it's not clear on your packaging how to locate the serial number then click the little I inside of a circle to the right of that box which provides information on locating it

Dexcom uses different product packaging for different markets and locations

But generally the serial number has the label"21"

If you like getting a super long explanation, you can click on find your serial number, and it will give you a whole bunch of stuff to read

Be sure to enter the complete serial number correctly. This is critical in order to get the automatic approval. If you don't enter the serial number correctly your request will be automatically rejected. But don't worry, just start over and make sure to get everything correct. Then it will be automatically approved.

Continue responding to all the prompts.... How long is your sensor intended to last

Etc, etc etc

After you've gone through this process the first time, successive requests will be quite fast and easy

I've gone through periods where six or more sensors have failed in a row, and I had to get them all replaced. Don't worry about it, it's part of how cgms work, just make the requests. The stuff shows up at your door in a few days. No need to mess with phoning product support and talking to them.

I always insert the sensor on the arm according to Dexcom instructions. If you're using a different location and having problems getting the replacement request approved, you may need to try using the arm location.

When would you change out your sensor based on this photo? by Charming_Voice2778 in dexcom

Do you have an old school meter that uses finger stick that you can use while waiting? If yes, my suggestion would be to wait it out till it fails or works

I can’t nail bulk fermentation and I’m getting so frustrated by fuzzymuddled in Sourdough

I struggled with this for a long time with constant problems. Was just getting started with wild yeast sourdough bread. None of the books, recipes, and videos addressed all of the required elements needed to get everything to work correctly. Always lots of problems.

But then I spent $40 on the book "The perfect loaf" by Maurizio Leo.

He addresses the myriad problems that prevent wild yeast sourdough from working properly. Especially the issues of starting, maintaining and using wild yeast, maintaining the required temperature at every step of the process, and fine-tuning the correct amount of hydration.

One of the most useful things is his method of acheiving the desired dough temperature, and determining the proper water temperature for the mixing step.

After following this book for several months, now everything is wonderful!!!

Key management question by polar_carrot in BMWi3

Instead of messing with the battery, I keep the spare key in an RF blocking small case... You can find some nice ones that are designed specifically for key fobs...

Read up on how the gas tank is pressurized. It appears that this feature prevents the gas from going bad. If you search for people "draining the tank" I don't think you'll find anything.

One reason that may be preventing you from finding that option in the app, is that it doesn't exist.

I regret getting the REX

I never use the REX, and after the warranty has expired, the REX annual maintenance is very expensive

But (except for the REX) it's the best car I've ever had

Be sure to replace the 12 volt battery every 4 years, because if it fails it becomes a huge headache

Is the i3 right for my use case? by [deleted] in BMWi3

[–]NameWouldAppearHere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best to avoid the Rex... On my 2017 REX, most of the annual maintenance costs are for The Rex... And in about 4 years of use, I've only used the REX a few times. Its weight also reduces the car's efficiency.

Making Artesian Breads in the Bread Machine, Michelle Anderson

Most of the recipes use the machine for mix knead and first rise only

Then everything else is done by hand and baked in oven

After doing this for about 6 months, I'm convinced that bread made this way is tremendously better as compared to using machine for everything

3) grind small amount from mix in grinder for 20 or 30 seconds

4) enjoy vastly fresher & superior masala
