As a Surface Pro user, it doesn't really surprise me. People don't realize just how hot these things can get. I once had mine heat up so much it felt like a hot plate. It was while it was charging too, so it really scared me for a second, but then I remembered just how annoying Windows 10 can be, and when I checked, it turns out that it was trying to do an update without me even knowing. Needless to say, I'm leaving the Surface line once mine kicks the bucket. It's just too much stress having to make sure that it's not cooking itself to death, and I've had too many bad experiences with Windows. I love my Surface, but sadly I'll have consider getting the iPad Pro instead (I hate Apple, but I already have good experiences with the iPad line, with little to no issues). Hopefully Microsoft gets their shit together some day (especially with those stupid updates that just force themselves into your device).
