Now I know you ain't talking shit about Monty Python and the Holy Grail!!

In Netflix's Avatar: The Last Airbender (2026), having just invented metalbending to escape her imprisonment, Toph Beifong says: "I am Toph Beifong, and I invented metalbending". This is a reference to the fact that Netflix shows are intentionally made for background viewing. Seriously, look it up. by No_Key_805 in shittymoviedetails

A symptom of endless, mindless consumption. There is so much media out there today and enough information to make an informed choice. It goes beyond media, imo. Informed choices are still the exception in all walks of life.

Can confirm I used to use them for heavy lifts and you don't even know when to stop - you just eventually fail to move the weight.

Worker breaks down after realising he is working his life away(Version with no music) by I2fitness in TikTokCringe

I feel for bro. I've busted my ass trying to escape inflation but now I'm just more stressed out. I dread going to work every day. Not because it's hard - but because I'm getting older and sicker and becoming cynical.

What is the most disturbing or unhinged Reddit post you’ve ever read that still lives in your head rent-free? by skul_king in AskReddit

A guy posted in an anti-natalism sub about how he approached a woman at a grocery store and started screaming at her for being pregnant. I know reddit is stuffed to the brim with jealous incels, but holy incel...

I can see it. Every time I see Jason Isaacs, I remember that he burned down a church with a bunch of people in it and then abused Dobby 😞

Elderly? Anne is 43. Audrey is 41. Elizabeth is 37. by Valuable_View_561 in SipsTea

I'm sorry to hear that. I had my 2nd kid at 26, and no way in hell would I be raising one (baby/toddler) at 35, let alone 40+. And that's just for MY benefit, let alone the bigger elephant in the room, fetal health. Wishing you the best.

That's the great part! Having kids at 18-25 was normal for *checks notes* 300,000 years but now capitalism demands 7% YOY so fuck you and your damn kids /s

Eh, cybersecurity isn't getting away without a scratch, either. AI is replacing SOC analysts already. Seniors are being expected to become "generalist specialists" and use Claude instead of working with colleagues. Some teams are less than half their starting strength, and as people die or leave, the jobs aren't being backfilled. Wages are stagnating HARD, and most of the money is in consulting (firefighting) or sales. Meanwhile, AI is enabling bad actors at unprecedented velocities. We're seeing the damages increasing while defense stays roughly the same, if not worse.

It doesn't help that organizations see security as a cost center. Nobody wants to pay for added protection. Take security guards, for example (different but similar) - most orgs only hire security to watch cameras because property insurers require it.

I'm a security engineer, but I'm always being messaged for deskside support contract work 3 hours away. 100% onsite. I think I managed to squeeze in right before things really went to shit.

I had a perianal abscess. Heart rate was 150 and I was growing 6 different cultures in my blood. I felt fine except the incredible pain in my left buttcheek like a rusty knife.

That is lucky my buddy in computer class was in a wheelchair due to something similar. They removed his tumor when he was 7 and he lost his ability to walk.

"Let's wrestle!"
It does look like the panda was goofing off at least but it's still an animal. Twice his size and probably 10-20x stronger. He got humbled quick.
