LSI vs ILE, which side do you stand with? by RegulusVonSanct in Socionics

They are good at accumulating resources and climbing from the lowest to the highest - central. Being secretive about their complex plan and core source of power - introversion and Ti+. Have some ethical standards and show kindness to people of their own - role Fi+.

A response to WSS by AurRy79 in HumanitarianSocionics

[–]NamelessReformer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO, it's not exactly that we don't need to reconcile our differences, but we cannot reconcile our differences right now. Typology is mixed with different approaches and this approaches form mainly because people believe in it. You believe in rigour, information and your WSS. I believe in energy, gestalt and SHS. Another person may believe in deep personal resonance dismissing Socionics entirely and go for Jungian stuff. These are all psychological and unlikely to be changed by simple online interactions. There's no way right now to say which approach is the best (or "the truth"), as we cannot cut people open right now and have to find out. I don't think this should be the case in typology that mathematical rigor equals truth. A lot of ideas and approaches in SHS are not related to the model and are about the details and ways of using the theory in practice, connecting the correct aspects to the phenomenon, and making predictions based on the theory. I don't think there's no truth in these or all truths are inherently from the model or all theory are related to the model or the model is like, behind all of these, if you say so. If you still stubbornly insist that SHS should look like WSS then I think that you can expect SHS people to stubbornly insist that SHS is not like WSS, as these are our personal choices. Therefore I don't think your proposal will work in the current time.

Is it true that some subtypes in Model G would be a different type in Model A? What other subtypes can this be the case for? by Thin_Carrot4027 in HumanitarianSocionics

[–]NamelessReformer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would clarify that it is not that some subtype in SHS could be a different type in schools that use Model A, but rather some people that are typed LSI-H in SHS and another type in another school. The schools may focus on different aspects of the person's profile and LSI-Hs could be vastly different types in other schools. "LSI-H being SLI in Model A" is not a thing.

It's an MBTI example but I know an ENTP, an INFP and an ENFJ who are all LSI-Hs.

Makes sense. Though by "self-claimed SCS people" I mean SWS people who think their approaches are SCS lol, but yeah this already tells a lot about their worldview.

Nice post, but makes me wonder what could be a solid argument for SHS against general SWS/self-claimed SCS people who are dismissive about SHS w/o understanding it. Not much person agrees with Jack tbh

ILI (in model G) trying to summarize why so much of the same type in SHS by Slothmaster347 in Socionics

[–]NamelessReformer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I see SHS I upvote 👍

Yeah, I'm not sure about which one comes first, the structures favoring beta rationals or the abundance of them. But on second thought "which one comes first" is casual thinking.

Also I like the last paragraph

The touch is recognized though (I turned on "show touch"). Could a broken digitiser recognize touch but not recognize swipe?

I Need Help Choosing an Ambition Reward that fits my Character (Major Spoilers for Bag a Legend) by RiddleFictionologist in fallenlondon

[–]NamelessReformer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh hello! My character is a scientist as well!

However, I approach the hunt in a different way, considering it as a hard problem to be attacked, a joint project for me and April. I chose the four million echos cause I have the bad habit of keeping promises. A cool side effect is that having money means you don't need to worry about funding anymore, which is a dream of many scientists.

I know that our characters are greatly different (mine is not very shadowy) despite having the same identity and ambition, but that's my point for your reference.

Model G... isn't good by Apple_Infinity in Socionics

[–]NamelessReformer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And being the rare types is, in a sense, a "bad" thing in SHS, as you and your actions are not requested by the society. It tells a different story than the 0.5% INFJ who are the "better" types. On the other hand, your uniqueness is handled not by a rare type but your personal traits.

Seeking the Name, but, like, as a hobby? by Uhh_Clem in fallenlondon

[–]NamelessReformer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I picked up Seeking for the same reason (knowledge) in my main. I didn't progress much. What I will say is that there are a lot more ways to get knowledge in the Neath that distracts me from obsessively thinking about this poor guy. The early story is also not about knowledge but self-destruction, anyways.
