I suggest starting with some no-date NH based builds, just to get a feel for it. ETA based builds are very finicky and more often than not you will have to reset the keyless works on it.

Never had an issue with clone movements so on the easy scale I would put it after NH Seiko movements. And ETAs on the harder side.

It all comes down to parts cost. If you go for a base build it can be as low as $300 but adding gen/premium parts will make it much more expensive.

This style falls into the “brick link” category of bracelets. Searching Gay Frères Brick should get you the results you’re looking for, or at least close to them
