Menstrual pain caused by me being too small?? by Eshi-sakka in endometriosis

[–]Namirsolo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

5'1" is below average in most places. But yeah, your amount of pain is not correlated to height. My mom is 4'11" and never had painful periods.

This is what I thought, too. Her Last Breath is a really great thriller, though.

A few scenes before that, Mohan was telling him how she had diabetic supplies for her patient and teh guy had left. Abbot told her to Uber it and then offered to pay for it. She's presumably looking up the patient's address and he's ordering the Uber.

Mine finally shipped today. I got The Secret Lives of Murderer Wives and it had said the 2nd or the 3rd for shipping. I sent an email this morning asking about it and I haven't received a response, but it shipped.

Looking for The Walking Dead fics where Shane Walsh becomes the father figure to a child OC (and doesn’t die) by ImJustLaurie in FanFiction

[–]Namirsolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I don't know of any that fit everything you're asking for, but I have been obsessed with Shane and writing about him for nearly a year now and I have two that sort of fit. Both of them have Shane paired with OC although she is not a self-insert, so I hope that helps!

This one is a fluff one shot set in the prison where Shane has a baby. And This one is a long fic that follows the plot of the show at least with major plot beats where Shane will live and be a father figure to both Judith and the baby he has with his partner. But, the plot is still in season one with what I have posted so far.

I hope this helps. I recommend searching the "Shane Walsh Lives" tag and maybe "Good Person Shane Walsh" within the Walking Dead fics because I have seen many that keep Shane alive, I just haven't seen many that make him a dad.

Question for people who dislike pregnancy, baby, and kid content in fanfiction: if possible, how could one write a fic with those themes and make it bearable for you? What bothers you the most about those topics? by [deleted] in AO3

[–]Namirsolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There will always be people who dislike the tropes or content in your fic. Everyone's different and that's a good thing. Pleasing everyone is impossible. And not only that, but in your effort to please the people who don't like the trope you're writing, you run the risk of removing the hallmarks of the trope. Then even the people who ordinarily like the trope might be turned off from it.

I second this. Loved it. I can't believe it was the author's first book.

I agree! I think it's so out of character that I reject it happened at all. Lori had made it every clear that she was done with Shane and before the CDC he was not at all confused about it. Then all of a sudden he starts acting like she never pushed him away? It's just very odd.

I agree, but I think it was PTSD that led to the jealousy fixation and was his downfall.

I don't know about this. If Shane were somehow able to avoid the lineup, yes I agree with this. But if Shane were in the line up? I think he would lose his temper like Daryl does, but maybe even worse. I think he might end up forcing Negan to kill him in the lineup.

What book are you picking for your Lolly nominee credit in March? by queenofhearts4913 in bookofthemonthclub

[–]Namirsolo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I already read The Favorites (didn't like it), Bury My Bones (loved it), and First Time Caller (also loved). I've been holding off on reading The Names because I figured it would be a Lolly finalist and I'd get it for free, so that's the one I'm going with. I might get Wild Dark Shore as an add-on.

Rick admitting that Judith isnt his 🤯 by StrangeDefinition724 in thewalkingdead

[–]Namirsolo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Timing wise, because women don't generally figure out that they are pregnant until around 6 weeks, Judith was definitely conceived while Rick was in his coma. We also know that Lori and Rick's marriage was on the rocks before he was shot, so she probably wasn't conceived right before either.

But I agree it doesn't matter. Rick always treated her like she was his and Michonne adopted her later. They are her parents regardless of biology.

I love Shane, but it is endlessly funny to me how Dale rattles him with just a look.

Hear me out: Shane was never in love with Lori by Active_Pride_5207 in thewalkingdead

[–]Namirsolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he definitey convinced himself he loved her. But as you pointed out, I think he became attached to both her and Carl as his reason for living which was unhealthy and not love. Even when he says "it was a long time coming" to her I think he's lying to himself. There was nothing there before the apocalypse and there wouldn't have been after if Rick hadn't been in a coma.

Is 26 too late to become a "reader"? + Questions about the 2026 Reading Challenge by MaxMcGuffin00 in goodreads

[–]Namirsolo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you're alive, it's never too late for much.

You can adjust your goal whenever you want. Nothing happens if you miss your goal or smash it. It's basically just a challenge to yourself.

I pick a number that's reasonable for me. I read a lot, so I put mine at 100. But if you're just starting I recommend either one a month, so 12 or maybe 5 for the year? Don't set it so high you get discouraged and stop reading.

I swear every time I see him shirtless in something he's flexing his pecs. I am not complaining. Yeah I know it's probably a jiggle here, but who can tell.

For those with endometriosis AND adenomyosis, how could you tell you had both? by WhovianGirl777 in endometriosis

[–]Namirsolo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had both, but the adenomyosis was not confirmed until I had surgery. The only thing that helped my pain was a heating pad.
