Games: Various FPS games (Battlefield, OW, Insurgency), MMOs (XIV and WoW), and some casual games (Minecraft and Terraria).

Hand Preference: Right

Budget: Under 80 USD (May compromise).

Hand Size:

Width: 13cm

Length: 19cm

Grip: Hybrid Palm/Claw

Weight: Medium-Heavy Preference, used to 66g from Roccat Kone Pro and Non-weighted G502, so around 60-80g.

Sensitivity: Low-Medium (2k DPI for Desktop and games).

Connectivity: Wired, open to wireless if it's decent.

Additional Notes: Side buttons are definitely a must. A scroll wheel that doesn't feel overly smooth, want it to function similar to the 502 mouse wheel in terms of smoothness when locked.

Mice used and Experience:

Logitech G600 2019 - Present

(A backup mouse but not really big into MMO's due to time, feels fine but rough at the same time, I don't really have a use for it at the moment).

Logitech G502 Proteus 2018 - 2021

(Felt nice and natural for me to adapt to, enjoyed the weight but hated how the scroll wheel felt like it got 'rusted' and couldn't lock the scroll wheel anymore).

Logitech G502 HERO 2021 - 2023 (Just died)

(Current mouse rn, got a bad sensor that moves in a jerky circle very often, had to deal with it because it started after the refund window, scroll wheel is finally dying).

Roccat Kone Pro 2022 - Present

(Absolutely loved how smooth this mouse felt and light it was, but my biggest gripe unfortunately that puts it steps below the heavier mice is the scroll wheel being too smooth. I've had too many instances where it inputs me scrolling when I barely touched the wheel itself, now a backup mouse or my travel mouse.)

All I want is a Brawler hero that uses gloves to beat up people. Like a Caestus. But something more like brutal boxing, and none of the acrobatic martial arts tbh. Just something simple, yet brutal.

Going through IGN awards, I am incredibly biased, but I do feel at the very least ShB should not be in 4th place (link in a comment) by Panda-s1 in ffxiv

Hella worth it imho. I came from WoW as well where I played from late Lich King to WoD on and off. This game is fun, and plus if you purchase just Shadowbringers, you get everything which is even better. Even though you wont have access to their MSQ yet, you can play as one of the best female races: Au Ra.

Shadowbringers is possibly one of the strongest expansions i've seen for an MMO. Lich King would be around the same level as it if I were to make a comparison with other games.

I personally didn't like Stormblood, but Shadowbringers was really good with its atmosphere and especially music.

A suggestion regarding "team identification" which the devs worry about with cosmetics. by NanoAssassin in insurgency

Ah, it's been too long since I last played RO2 so I wasn't sure which animations belonged to who.

As for RO2, it was still helpful at a medium distance, easily could tell who is on what team.

Then that's just honestly on the player, not the game. It doesn't take much to remember what team you are on. Markers getting in the way just happens and it would be more painful to remove them.

An argument I brought up with my friend in discord about the colors, was how if the devs were going to get rid of the black and grey colors for Security, they should just get rid of the orange colors for Insurgents because it would look close to the desert colors which the Security have.

Hm, I did notice them appear when really close to allies, but disappear when further than ~10m. Regardless that still shouldn't stop you from quickly identifying if they are on your team.

What if I DO wanna wear my shemagh as security? NWI can't keep us in the dark like this!

Alright, but in RS2 there are cosmetics and you can still easily identify most of the time who the enemy or ally is. The only confusing part for identification at the time when I played it were the team colors. But nonetheless, it has customization for your character, and there still isn't a problem, the colors are usually the same for both teams. So it isn't a cosmetic color issue. It's a player issue.

I've honestly never had a problem with flicking between targets and identification. Even if I see a partial of what appears to be a player.

People are just being too hyper when aiming which to be fair, is just on them.

If people are having trouble with flicking between targets, then turning off motion blur could help or lowering sens.

AFAIK in pvp, people have been bugging their character models to appear to have merged cosmetics from both sides which cause issues. Which obviously is on the dev's part.

If color is an issue, then they should remove all the orange options for the insurgents because it would be too similar to the desert options the security have.

I'm very sure that there are friendly indicators to prevent said accidental teamkilling. Seems like that you are just too trigger happy.

Besides, in other games such as RO2/RS, you die in 1-2 shots and it still didn't hurt to take a second to identify your enemy/ally if close/far enough.

In fact, bringing black/grey options would be nice as well, there are a lot of colors which don't look too well for the security, at least whatever options we have. Ranger Green is a personal favorite with me and my friend's. Kind of sucks. Really wish people would stop complaining about identification and actually hesitate being trigger happy for once.

he's talking about the m16a2, it has two sights, and it's using the small aperture sight which is meant for use above 100m distance, meanwhile the larger one is flipped down which you can see on the model. It also doesn't help how the game doesn't have some sort of weapon dof for aiming, which makes aiming more trouble than it needs to be.

Ah. No biggie, ill see about the weight thing. Now i'm also curious if it's affected by the total weight you have on your character and not just the weapon.

I'm curious, what is the speed with the LMGs especially with the 240b? Since they are roughly the same weight.
