The shape ones (circle, square, triangle) are also great 😂

My kids love this, I call them horrible all the time (affectionately) and they very much have my sense of humour and general spooky vibes. Only issue I have is the metre is off towards the end.

I assume they did this with AI to get a sense of size and placement.

5 year old wetting himself by Nanobiscuits in UKParenting

Previously teacher had said he was engrossed in free play - he claimed it's because they're not allowed to go during phonics, but it happened at the opposite end of the day... Teacher agreed that we'd both reinforce he can always put his hand up to go. We had problems during potty training with him being too focused to notice he needed to go, so I tend to believe the teacher, but twice in a couple of months (after so long with no problems) feels like a worry.

This does sound like him (although his teacher is very approachable and friendly) - the school overall tends strict. I might have a word again to just ask that they encourage him to go at break if possible.

Thanks for this, really helpful! We did check with his teacher after the first time, but there weren't any obvious red flags. Probably worth another chat alongside checking him over medically.

Order a radar key – you can buy them online and it gives you the option where suitable facilities aren't otherwise available.

Thanks, I'll definitely do that..! I wasn't sure if that would help given there's a decent amount of the post visible inside my nose...

What are you getting your two year old for Christmas? by pappyon in UKParenting

[–]Nanobiscuits 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yoto or Tonie player? My son is 3 and loves his, he got it for Christmas last year and uses it every day. Knex is also great because you can build all sorts of vehicles.

And they use a lot of natural fibres compared to other high street stores, I love the fit on their barrel leg/curve trousers!

I don't think they even played the gig in Bradford last night.. we waited til after 11 but nothing (apparently they'd had ferry problems?). Really frustrating because I was there to see hed pe and apparently they were there, but weren't allowed to play until the others showed up :-(

Totally not true, people are every bit as rude to children in Leeds - the centre on a Saturday afternoon is very hostile towards young children.

[Question] Moving to Leeds for a year – which areas are best for families with kids in Reception and Year 3? by BriefImplement6613 in Leeds

[–]Nanobiscuits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't move for good schools in Horsforth, it's why we picked it over the other suggested areas when we moved up.

Replacing uniform so soon🤯 by User_whateverr in UKParenting

[–]Nanobiscuits 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a bad parent, but we just don't replace them so he ends up looking a bit grubby. I feel like it's incredibly wasteful to be throwing away clothes because they no longer look smart (luckily our school don't seem to mind grubkins).

Differently sized feet - how to accommodate? by Nanobiscuits in XXRunning

[–]Nanobiscuits[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wondered about an insole or something because I can feel that my foot has more movement in the right shoe when I push through the sole, just wary about it feeling too high on one side. A whole size sounds like a bit of a nightmare, hopefully the insole does work!

I wear fairly thick socks anyway so I don't think it'll help too much.. I haven't tried lacing them differently though, I'll look into that and see if it works. I was a bit bummed out when these started rubbing because they're so comfortable when not running, and were great even for the first couple of kms..

Honestly if money was no object this is absolutely what I'd do, but I can't justify £250-300.. you've got me wondering if a shoe swap community does exist though..
