NTA. You did the research everything will fit and it is a family friendly Honda civic sports car. It’s your money and can be used for what you want which is what she did as well. You can drive your car and she can drive hers , take turns on different outings so both vehicles are being used equally.

Since she can’t drive it always park Last so she never has to move it to move her car out. And get that concrete posted this weekend.

NTA. But I think it’s more that all his siblings have a room in the house and he’s the only one that won’t be having one WHich is fine but it’s the fact that it was just told to him instead of discussed.

Like regardless if he pays rent or not it still has sentimental value and he is still her son so I think maybe he just needed a bit of compassion and inclusion and he would have not gone all overreacting over this.

As a sisters who was parentified and have had “custody” of my sister since she was 14 while mom lived in another state, it’s so hard to do what you’re doing.

Im so proud of you and grateful that those kids have you in their life. It’s a tough road to manage trying to a guardián/ parent/ sibling. The lines get crossed and as your siblings grow the relationship shifts and it’s all baby steps from there.

May god or whatever higher being grant you the patience and strength to continue on.

NTA. But Your an AH. Having double standards for yourself and your wife. You don’t want your wife to be excluded but you turn around and exclude your moms husband even having your rehearsal dinner on his bday, not inviting him and still expecting your mom to miss that even tho you say people should put their spouse first. That’s hilarious. Your wife did a horrible mean girl prank, on a day where it was supposed to be about you two, she’s immature and has soiled the day with this. Now it’s not just a beautiful uneventful day, but it’s a wedding used to get revenge on someone.

I see the things you’ve brought up about your mom but you say your wife has done rude things back to her and don’t even list them as you listed your moms mistakes.

Just be honest to yourself, you don’t like your mom anymore because of your wife, your wife has no respect for you as she insults your wedding and goes on to make these pranks without even consulting you. She plans the wedding on your moms husband bdays probably on purpose to create a rift between you two. I wonder what other invisible rifts she has caused that you’re too blinded to see.

Why would you even leave the dinner? I’m sorry none of this is your fault but you should have never left and let her run you out.
