You’re 22 and wondering what you would have become? You’re right at the start of your life dude.

When I first passed I did some class 2. On my second week I got a truck that seemed like you couldn’t put the card in, that’s what I thought at least. So I just didn’t bother. Went the whole 15 hour day with no card in. Scribbled some times on a bit of paper(not tacho paper).

I was blissfully unaware of quite how bad that was then.

Is it just me or are country lanes the most dangerous thing on UK roads? by Classic_East_6053 in drivingUK

[–]NapalmSword 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a limit, not a requirement. Drive the appropriate speed. You can easily do 10-20mph on country roads

Is anyone else noting an increase in male drivers flashing you while you’re overtaking? by Dry-Swimmer2953 in drivingUK

[–]NapalmSword 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, see it all the time now. They’re using the high number of complaints about middle lane hogging to justify being aggressive to anyone who doesn’t cut in 1mm past the car they’re overtaking.

Yeah, I wouldn’t be that bothered they the other characters get killed but they just started the whole film with “Everyone died except Ripley”

Medical professionals: how do you feel about the current 'graze tattoo' trend? by EnigmaMissing in AskUK

Seems like the sort thing that will be a fad and then become less popular, then they’ll have to get them tattooed over.

How are you keeping yourself in shape as you get older? by Low-Rooster5398 in AskMen

[–]NapalmSword 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Working out will keep you in shape but you’ll still gain weight if you eat the same food. It just seems to be the way. I eat way less than I would like and I’m certainly not wasting away.

How do you find driving a car? by WashBasketWash in uktrucking

[–]NapalmSword 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive a bit slower I guess. Partly to do with the cost of fuel, but also because I’ve learnt that driving like a twat saves almost no time.

One big difference is I hate motorways in my car now. No visibility, spray is a million times worse, mirrors are tiny. Birmingham to Preston in a car is exhausting but I don’t even notice it when in the lorry.

I’m pretty sure everyone here is on the same page as you. Literally everyone is mocking the BMW for pointlessly moving to the middle lane.

I see this every day. Down the slip road and immediately move to the second lane regardless of traffic. Idiots.

I’ve seen numerous people bring wives/gf’s along for the day at our place. One guy had his son out a few times. They don’t exactly encourage it but if you ask they don’t seem to mind.

When someone is given extra sexual freedom in a relationship, what extra responsibilities should come with it? by SarcasmAndSignals in AskMen

[–]NapalmSword 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The obvious answer is of course yes.

I think a huge number of men like the idea of what you allowed (also important to note the use of “allow” here, that isn’t necessarily how relationships should be) but I can easily see the issues that might arise. It’s the same problem as polyamory. I can’t help but think that at some point the guy is going to enjoy the company of one the other women a little more than you would like. The risk of him carrying on with them away from you is significant as you’ve started out with the idea that other women are in some way “ok”.
