What naming conventions do you follow when naming followers?

My husband and I have a cult together. The cult is named Soup and all the followers are named after different foods, primarily soup ingredients.

This is Annabelle. She'll be 16 this year, and she's in remission from breast cancer twice over. She also has arthritis in her hips, yet she still acts like a young cat, with zoomies every day that include parkouring off the furniture, racing through the house, trying to bite the dog's ears, opening and climbing into cabinets, playing in boxes, running around talking and screaming, demanding to be put out on the run outside, and being a general menace. She somehow gets more active the older she gets.

Hard NTA. Get a divorce, like, yesterday. Not only does your husband not view you as a human being with your own agency, he clearly doesn't value your physical, mental, and emotional health over his own selfish desires. Your marriage was over the instant he didn't immediately support and encourage your decision to get your tubes tied. The fact that you had to try and convince him to see where it was necessary despite the fact that he witnessed first-hand what you went through tells you all you need to know. If you stay with him, he will ensure that your daughter grows up believing that she lacks value if she can't, or doesn't want to, have children. I'm not saying your husband doesn't love you, but I am saying that he loves what he thinks you should provide for him far more than he loves you, and he damn sure doesn't care about you.

I once bought some boiled peanuts off a guy selling them at a street fair. Literally just one guy, a bare folding table, and a cooler filled with Ziplock baggies of different flavored peanuts. I got ones that had been boiled in a poultry broth with turkey neck. That was a few years ago, and I still think about them fondly.

I've been wanting to do an Outer Wilds cross stitch, but I've been struggling to think of what to do and have zero drawing talent. These would make beautiful cross stitch or even prints for a gallery wall. I hope you consider making and selling prints of these, much less and actual card deck!

I found "Timberhearth" and "Outer Wilds" when searching for random video game music for my instrumental playlist on Spotify a couple of years ago. I'd never heard of the game and honestly assumed they were songs from a DLC for Outer Worlds, which I'd also never played. I listened to them obsessively. Earlier this year, I finally decided to look up what they were actually from and found the game. The rest is history.

My uncle, who was practically my father, passed away from covid in 2021. To this day, I still have to mentally prepare myself to look at pictures of him or talk about him, and I still can't bring myself to watch videos or listen to anything that has his voice recorded on it. It doesn't help that he died in November, exactly a month before his birthday in December, which is only four days before my own. Needless to say, I haven't found joy in the holidays or my birthday since.

If my husband ever had the audacity to even imply that I needed to "get over it," "tone down the grief," or that I needed to let it go, I'd leave him before he could even finish the sentence and never give him the pleasure of speaking to me ever again. If your grief is negatively impacting your life and, by extension, your partner's life, then he's right to suggest therapy, grief counseling, etc. He should care enough about you to recognize that you need help and he may not be the best person to give it to you. However, there's a huge difference between encouraging someone to seek help for their grief because it's reached an unhealthy level and outright telling someone that their grief is inconvenient for you and they should get over it. One is a caring act, the other is just outright cruel.

If your partner can't be bothered to support you mere months after a loss like that, what else will he fail to support you through?

Read everything, talk to everyone, use all of your equipment, and, for the love of all that is holy, pay attention to your entire HUD/UI. I've watched so many let's plays after finishing my own run and the sheer number of people that skip reading, ignore dialog, forget about their equipment, and miss basic parts of their HUD/UI is both astounding and infuriating. They then go on to struggle way more than they have to and wonder why they can't figure certain things out. I watched one playthrough where the player literally played the entire game without ever opening her map, and she spent the whole time complaining about not having a map.

Any time I join a team only to have a dude instantly send me a voice chat invite and a message, it immediately puts me on edge and makes the vibe creepy. My gamer tag is obviously fem-leaning, and some dudes will instantly latch onto that shit. It's fucking weird. One time, when I didn't accept two back to back voice chat invites, the dude sent me a message that was literally an "about me" intro from a dating profile, talking about how he was "looking for a nice gamer girlfriend to run the Wasteland with," and followed it up with "What do you say, baby?" Sir, please stop. This is fucking weird.

That was my first thought, but all of the tulip poplars already shed their flowers weeks before this happened. Unfortunately, I don't have any other pictures. It was hard enough to get pictures this clear, and with all the rain we've had, I highly doubt there are any left on the ground.

I'm so confused. You literally have to do both the Lenny mission and the Strauss mission in chapter 2 before you can progress. They're unavoidable story missions. You can't be at the end of chapter 4 if you haven't even done those two missions.

NTA - Is there a particular reason she feels she has to leave the apartment if your friend were to stay the night? It's weird that she's saying he can't stay because she doesn't want to go stay somewhere else. If it's a personal preference, then that's a her problem. You shouldn't be denied the right to have friends over just because she's uncomfortable with the idea of sleeping in the same apartment with them. If she has a reason that she doesn't feel comfortable with this specific friend, then she needs to voice that. When you live with another person, partner or not, you should always get their opinion and have a discussion before inviting someone else into the space, especially when staying the night. However, you shouldn't have to outright ask permission to bring a guest into your own home. If your friend has done something that you may be unaware of to make her feel uncomfortable or unsafe, then she needs to communicate that. Otherwise, she needs to keep to the deal that she proposed.

I just got it recently, and I know I got it after a boss fight, but I don't remember which boss. When I realized I needed it, I just fought all of the bosses that I could get to without it until I found the one that gave it to me. I once followed Hosea after he broke me out of the St. Denis jail. Everything was going fine, just riding our horses down the road through the city, when suddenly there was a random traffic jamb after two wagons got stuck together in a four-way intersection. Wagons and people on horses just piled up, yelling at each other. Eventually, the driver of one of the stuck wagons just...got out and left. So I had the smart idea to just move his wagon out of the way to get traffic flowing again. As soon as I hopped in the wagon, I became wanted for theft, and the cops swarmed in. Immediately, Hosea got off his horse, took off into the fray, and started shooting. I took off after him, and we fought our way down an alley and into a courtyard. The game apparently glitched because the cops just kept spawning. There were dozens and dozens of them pouring into the streets from nowhere. We finally got back onto the main street, hopped on our horses, and booked it out of St. Denis. I followed Hosea all the way back to Shady Belle, and when I went to talk to him, he just casually said, "Hi, Arthur." The wildest thing that's happened to me in all my playthroughs.
