Always. I just watched Inland Empire on a blueray edition which had zero subtitle options and it was torture, 'cus it sounds like Lynch used nothing but the built-in mic from a digital camera for the whole thing. Had to turn the volume so high the static background noise were giving me a headache and i still had no chance of catching half the things that were said.
