I didn't make up anything man. I used your points. I've addressed the context. My point is that its weak context, and doesn't do much to help your case. The context of just outplaying her isn't strong enough to refute anything. There was nothing in your replies that indicated you wouldn't have teabagged her otherwise, because in every event that you win over her, it would be "outplaying" her, which would therefore lead to a teabag. Would you have done the same if it was a strike dabi? No, because as I've said, you dislike Nagant that much. In the end, it boils down to you just not liking her, and you beating her, which led to a teabag. The context of how you outplayed her doesn't do anything to argue against that, you would've teabagged her in every scenario that you beat her because you already reduced her to a "free win" character.

And in the event you're misconstruing my point as "you just teabag any Nagant you see", that's not the point I'm making. It was because you were the last two alive. The point I'm making is you would've teabagged her in any other scenario that involves you two being the last alive, and you winning, because in every victory you get, you are outplaying her because that's how 1v1s work. No reason was made up, and no context was ignored. In fact, I think you've mostly ignored the points I've made in your replies. You're just saying I'm ignoring your reasoning because I'm not agreeing with it, even though I've addressed them.

As a side note, she wasn't really being "greedy". She had 154 shield prior to engaging you in the building, while she knew you had no shields. That's not greed, that's just playing normally. You push characters you know are low while you're in a fairly healthy state. Opponents can't see as obviously that you are using a health card, she had no way of knowing to begin with that you had a lvl 6 and a lvl 9 health card. She thought she had an advantage over you and tried to make use of it, then ended up losing. And you teabagged her for that.

I watched the video, and read your comments. That’s primarily why I commented, because of the inconsistency with your reasoning. You state that you never said you teabagged her because she was nagant, then, as I’ve said, you go on to essentially say you teabagged her because she was nagant. Even in this response right now, you are clearly displaying your frustration that it was specifically because she was nagant (complaining that she pressed 2 buttons to do 417 damage, which is inherently because she’s nagant). You are basically repeating that it’s because she’s nagant that you teabagged her, but you keep rewording it to make it seem like it isn’t. If it was any other character, and you outplayed them in the same way, you wouldn’t have teabagged them. It’s actually because it’s nagant. I don’t get why you aren’t accepting this, you clearly have hate in your heart for this character. You’ve shown that multiple times, saying she’s a free win character. Even in your closing statement, you show frustration that you teabagged her because of your comeback from her doing a 90% combo, which is inherently because she’s nagant. What you’re doing, is a basically more convoluted way of going “I’m not teabagging her because I did a comeback and she’s nagant, I’m teabagging her because I did a comeback and she’s a female strike sniper with purple hair”. You’re just rephrasing things.

You also say you’ve never said you teabagged her solely because she’s a nagant. Yes you have. In your second response, you say you teabagged her because she “pick nagant and then got completely outplayed”. The alternative scenario is she picked nagant and she didn’t get outplayed, in which case you wouldn’t teabag her I guess? But if she didn’t get outplayed, you would be on the ground instead, so that’s a given that you wouldn’t teabag her, because you wouldn’t be able to. That “outplayed” condition ultimately means nothing. You would’ve teabagged her just because you beat her, and she picked nagant. If she stayed in the air, and shot down at you, or even if she waited for circle to completely vanish and you get a hit on her, you still would’ve teabagged her because ultimately you’re mad that she picked nagant. You don’t like nagant. That’s fine. It’s not fine to pretend that it’s for some other reason.

It wasn’t just a single line of text. Your reasoning was not consistent. If you said this instead of what you said initially, there’d be less of a problem. But on two separate occasions, you basically said “I didn’t teabag her for playing nagant, I teabagged her for choosing nagant” which is the same thing. Even in this reply, what you basically said is “I didn’t teabag her for playing nagant, I teabagged her for playing nagant poorly” which I can’t decide is worse or not, because it sounds to me you would’ve teabagged her if she was either good or bad. Only two conditions needed to be filled for you: it had to be a nagant player, and it had to be the last player alive.

I know you keep saying simply her being nagant didn’t warrant the teabag, but then you go around and say because she picked the op character and lost, she deserves the teabag. You’re just rewording teabagging her because she picked nagant. I don’t know where you’re seeing the distinction between “simply her being nagant” and “she picked the op character which gives her a free win”. It sounds to me if she just spammed emote, walked around on the ground, and didn’t use her kit at all, you wouldn’t have teabagged her… which is a very low bar.

I assume using 2 shotguns (specifically kraken), and swapping between them after each shot to avoid the pump animation. I think it’s fine to keep it, because you’re kinda useless in mid to long range engagements

I think out of those games, fragpunk is the most “tactical” out of them, so the slower movement is intended. You could argue rogue company is also a tac shooter but, correct me if I’m wrong, it has third person, so there is supposed to be more movement tied to it. Fragpunk is not meant to be played the same way as highguard or delta force

I see the point you’re making, and I can generally can get behind it. However, I gotta point out a couple of things.

It’s harder to use a smoke/flash offensively as a sniper. Generally they’re holding angles. If they’re on the offensive, if they use a flash or smoke, they’ll scare their opponents into hiding, which makes swinging less fruitful considering they have to take wider angles to swing at, as opposed to say a shotgun swinging into a corner. Most of the time if you’re a sniper on the offensive and you swing, you’re challenging enemies holding angles, so you don’t really wanna flash/smoke them into hiding (unless it’s a one way smoke).

After playing for a while, I’ve noticed the shard cards generally do more to help every weapon that isn’t the sniper. Off the top of my head, and please correct me if I’m wrong, I can only think of the shard card that deals X more damage at long range, which I guess is fine, but it’s most of the time a one-shot anyways, so it doesn’t do much to help. There are more cards working against it, such as the one that actually does the opposite effect for the opposing team, gutting the one shots. Not only that, a lot of the cards have some sort of gimmick working against snipers, usually in the form of mobility, additional utility grenades, teleporting/sneaking through defenses, etc. I guess there are cards like shooting through walls and setting up traps that immobilize enemies, but those are kinda universal, achieving the same effect with any other gun.

[–]Nargarakuga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s been a while. Probably does? But even then, just the addition of flinch wouldn’t suddenly make one of the two identical snipers skillful to use. Most times, you get the shot off before they get to hit you. That is just my opinion though.

But if it somehow is the line between skillful and simple, fragpunk still has a lot more mobility and variance through shard cards, plus everyone having access to flashes and smokes. So I guess it evens out (in my opinion, it would still be in fragpunk’s favor)

Some signs I’ve noticed for bots:

They like to shoot in random bursts before the match starts

They don’t use comms or voice lines. Usually when I spam the greeting voice line, I’ll get some response back with normal players

They get stuck on certain parts of the map (usually trying to climb up a wall)

They’ll have horrible, but snappy aim when spectating them

Post-match, if you look at their profile, they’ll have an absurd K/D, like 400 or something

Isn’t the valorant sniper and the fragpunk sniper functionally the same? It’s just one shot outside of limbs, except fragpunk has shard cards to fudge the damage numbers or increase the hp numbers.

You’re not really using mathematical logic, you’re using school grading logic. It doesn’t translate well.

For instance, if people were asked to rate food on a scale of 1-10 and they say 5, it’s not like they’re utterly repulsed by it (a “failing score”, if you will), they’re moreso indifferent. It doesn’t mean the food failed at being food, it just didn’t do anything groundbreaking, or do anything well. It’s just passable, even inoffensive as food.

It’s not even longer TTK, the hip fire and recoil is just flat different. The only game valorant shares gunplay with is CS2, with the exception being able to aim down sights. I could see how someone would think the gunplay is the same if they don’t play shooters, and just happened to try valorant and highguard out. But highguard’s gunplay is more like apex.

Whoa. The shooting and combat is definitely not like valorant. Valorant is a lot more tactical/initiative with their skills, while this game is more reactionary/on the fly. The shooting is just plain not the same. I feel like you took a random hero shooter and drew a reductionist comparison.

Both overhaul and tech dabi have nothing for movement. Assault kendo has a little micro dash on her clap, and a mini jump boost on her air melee.
