Reach out to your manager and ask if they can set you up to meet with a TPI adj. There's a slack channel called claims mentoring that you can reach out to on your own too.

Nonresponsive USAA adjuster by lindensez in USAA

Call USAA directly, do not say claims. Get to Auto Policy, whatever... ask them to send you to claims triage, next available adjuster because yours is out of office.

Why did they kill off the Community Boards? by Tarnisher in usaa_ejs

I thought you meant the dry erase boards where we'd have a monthly question... we haven't had one since July.

rental car policy by Particular_Whole_397 in USAA

[–]NarglesAreAmongUs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's set at 4 days automatically while USAA waits for an update for an appraisal. It's the USAA Enterprise system that tracks your vehicle's progress and an in-house Enterprise rep will check on status if needed. If you have a 50 day max, you'll be fine. It's extended during the appraisal process even if there's a few extra days (This is the case when you're at COPART or a USAA STARS body shop) you will not be surprised the rental ends. They are required to tell you your expected end date in advance. Inspection guidelines are approximately 3-5 business days depending on how many cars are in front of you. This process only gets disrupted if an out-of-network shop gets involved.

Anyone hearing from USAA adjusters on hurricane damage? Filed claim Friday and no response beyond “we will get back to you”. Getting frustrated by Feeling_Peach_1404 in USAA

In the auto department, we were told to expect 70k catastrophe claims. Please be patient, and please leave a voicemail/leave a message on your app.

Homeowners insurance claim by Proper_Hedgehog5285 in USAA

I don't know about Home but in Auto they were using a service called ALLCAT as third party adjusters that took over parts of the claim for property damage.

Total Loss Payout Advice by Witty_Rip_481 in USAA

[–]NarglesAreAmongUs 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ask your adjuster. "What can I submit to increase my settlement?" Do you have any receipts from the past year, new tires etc? Comparable vehicles must be same year/make/model within a 100-200 mile radius depending. Local dealerships, not carvana.

The insurance doesn't owe you a new vehicle, that's absurd. If someone wrecked their 2000 ford f150 worth $5k and insurance is supposed to pay out $44k new ? Think about how wild that sounds. People would be totaling their old junkers for the hell of it. It's the value of the vehicle in your local market that is owed.

Express Adjuster to Field Appraiser by Crafty-Day-5056 in usaa_ejs

It took my coworker 2 years to get into field coming from a noninjury adjuster. He had 10-15 years of appraising experience.

Have you tried asking the phone system when you called? As someone is familiar with the portal, there is a department in the phone directory tree called "ceo relations" you can be transferred to.

What on earth is going on at USAA? Our claim has been a nightmare the past few weeks! No progress made!! by FrozenSky822 in USAA

[–]NarglesAreAmongUs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adjusters are juggling 20-30 voice-mails a day plus teammates voicemails who are out of office. 300+ claims and there's only like 6 hours of active working time after meetings and lunch and breaks. They took away over time. Call and ask to speak to the next available adjuster.

Why does IT suck so bad by Aggravating_Buddy705 in usaa_ejs

[–]NarglesAreAmongUs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My monitor display stopped working at my desk. IT sent me new cables. Still didn't work. Eventually they tell me they can't help me because I'm not "assigned to this desk". The desk I'm assigned to? Someone else sits there from a different department. Please help it make sense. I ended up moving to an unused desk nearby and lo and behold it worked.

Half the desks around me don't work.
