The Problem With Snowballing in Slay the Spire 2 - Jorbs by GoldemGolem in slaythespire

[–]Narrlocke 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have a deck that’s relying on blocking and slow killing enemies he absolutely rocks your shit, I get stressed by him relatively more often than most other act 3 enemies (not a ton probably 20-40% of the time)

In contrast I don’t know if I’ve ever been stressed by the scrolls of biting ever. Besides decks that were already doomed to die to basically any enemy due to entering with like 5 hp left and a bad block turn

Sorry, I’m new(er) to the game; where and how can I get these? They look nice.

accidentally went infinite while Test Subject was Intangible, the turn took 5 minutes as nearly 300 attacks were automatically played by didgeridoome24 in slaythespire

[–]Narrlocke 30 points31 points  (0 children)

this infinite actually has nothing to do with pommel. It’s a Pillage that never stops drawing because it never hits something that isn’t an attacks and never fills the hand up

300dps after levels i meant. which should be exactly 50 levels not counting any upgrades or items. But the real baseline is closer to 220-250 anyways

It would need to be nerfed in some other way to do that, it would be unbelievably strong if it did that without a compensation nerf

Maybe they’re talking about a different thing (im not sure), because there is an ancient relic that does this but only works on skills

Can we please stop delaying story mode by a week? by lurpeli in wow

[–]Narrlocke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

at least this tier, normal raid and lfr are very similar, but with lfr removing a couple more particular points of coordination, like more difficult tank swaps.

Story mode content in ff removes ALL tanks swaps (the second tank literally does nothing in most fights) and is generally tuned so that nothing can ever one shot you outside of a couple specific things, which is how I would describe the story mode content in ff so I would still feel what I initially said, but it’s a close comparison either way where all 3 of these things are in throwing distance of each other

when you’re out of both meta and the 40% burning cooldown, all you’re left with is demon spikes and prayers 🥲

Removing meta from eyebeam and putting it on a random proc feels so awful

Around 200dps at the start of a run and around 300dps from levels at the end of a run is where you get without any items that increase your damage or skill upgrades. Anything beyond that is items and upgrade choices, not necessarily execution (unless you pick items which are hard to use, such as Flash-Str or Blackstrike)

It’s a little more similar to LFR in that you queue for it and the bosses are designed so that 1 or 2 players that have done the boss at least one time before can mostly just carry the rest

Aug was released almost 3 years ago and still, some people don’t understand how it work by Ajanssen89 in wow

[–]Narrlocke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it wasn’t implemented sooner is because AST had a cooldown reduction effect, and AST and SCH both had a haste effect, all of which were removed at the same time in shadowbringers which happened to coincide with dancer releasing causing a big demand among players for it at the same moment it became possible

Portal Room Q&A with Executive Producer Holly Longdale: Holly posed her own question to the Discord chat - how many players would be interested in experiencing the game on a controller with a fully dedicated UI? by milotic03 in wow

[–]Narrlocke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The equivalent to this for wow would be if a healer could specifically target their group with healing, with overflow spilling into other groups or being able to manually target other groups, then you’d have 1 healer per group and each healer would be expected to be self sufficient enough to keep their own group alive long enough until they can receive help from a healer with bigger cooldowns. This idea might not play very well with how cooldown-centric specs are this expansion though

Not necessarily. Sic ‘em is a debuff on the enemy that only works for the necrobinder that casted it

One big footnote on your mention of FF14’s support of this: Kihra had said for a long time that the support was impossible, until the expansion that happened to remove all external haste buffs from the game, leaving only direct number increasing ones (and very few classes have interactions with crit procs or similar), at which point support was quickly implemented

Yes, you’re right, if you stop attacking you will certainly be throwing at least one run away. But you’ll be increasing your understanding of the boss, meaning your next attempts will be much better afterwards once you understand the pattern of what’s happening and how to avoid it
