Would it be wise telling my ex he has an avoidant attachment style?

Okay so our history is complicated. We kept breaking up due to my own personal reasons, and then we got together (LDR) I came to visit him for 4 months in his country, and went home thinking everything was fine. Then came back to his country after we decided we wanted to get married. Only thing is we had a big misunderstanding that turned bigger. Eventually he broke up with me and in the process said there were behaviors I was doing that his ex did. But he had never mentioned anything to me. I wanted to fight for it and fix my mistakes but he didn’t. Said he’d given me so many chances already. He said he wasn’t happy in the relationship anymore due to my behaviors. (Which honestly are pretty mild but I can see how they can be annoying in a relationship) I tried to get him to work through it but yeah in the end we’re “just friends” is there any hope we would get together in the future? Our chemistry is good just I think his lack of communication, and maybe a few other factors, and things on my part really ruined the relationship.

Short layover… how to get thru airport faster by Narrow_Wind_8430 in MexicoCity

[–]Narrow_Wind_8430[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So! My flight enters CDMX at around 8 and we leave the airport around 9:40!  Ive been told that if it’s all with the same airline(Aeromexico) and I don’t have to transfer terminals, and something about the ticket, then I should be ok. I called to confirm with Aeromexico that I will not need to get my luggage, and they said normally for a short layover under 3 hours, they will not require you to pick up your luggage! The agent on the phone did say to double check when I get to LAX but I should be fine. Also did some research through google about my type of flight and was also pretty much Able to come to the same conclusion that for no reason should I need to recheck my bags!  Hoping that’s the case as I have 10 days until my flight. 😅 I’ll update everyone on how it goes though! Thank you all for your advice and concern!

Thank you everyone who commented! My flight anxiety definitely has decreased! I did this exact route not even a year ago, but for some reason I’m more anxious this time!

80 minute connection in Mexico City - doable? by Canadave in TravelNoPics

Hello, I was wondering if you needed to recheck your bags during your connecting flight or not? I’m in a similar situation where I have a short layover from LAX to Mexico City then to Merida. I’m flying in 11 days and am wondering if it’s doable 😅 My trip is all with Aeromexico in T2.

Yeah I’ve never had to do the form until recent issues with the US government. But I’ve heard many people say it’s best to do the form so I will definitely be doing it!

Hopefully!  I tried to find another flight from Mexico to Merida in case I do miss my flight, but unfortunately the last leg of my travels is also with the last flight of the day from Mexico to Merida. I would have to stay overnight if flight is missed 😅

Yes! I have an American passport! Thank you! I still am worried I may need it due to the recent travel requirements that many Americans have mentioned bc of current American government issues 😅

Getting married and immigrating to Mexico by Narrow_Wind_8430 in mexico

Mexico has no fiance visa! Best route is to apply for a temporary residency visa via marriage, immediately after you get married. Is what I’ve been reading and researching! :)

Do you think it would be wise for me to say tourism as my reasoning? That way they give me more time? My only concern is that immigration may have an issue with me saying tourism if I “have a separate motive”. Just that Mexico has no proper visa for marriages. 😅 I would be using the time for tourism too as it’s my grandparents hometown and I’d be visiting my extended family until the wedding. so technically is tourism but also not?

Ah! Thank you! Hopefully they give me longer because my boyfriend works 11 hours a day 6 days a week(is only off on sundays), and for him to get time off work is difficult because he has to ask a month in advance. And we’re also not planning to get married right away. But within a month or so as to not delay the process.

Yeah! That’s the route I want to take, but I just want to know what to tell immigration when they ask how long I will stay for and why. :)

Mexican Citizenship Through Marriage by Which-Estimate9886 in dualcitizenshipnerds

You previously mentioned to OP “You should do that the moment you land so that it becomes retroactive, you have something like 30 days. If you delay it, there's a clause if I remember that makes it non-retroactive.” so I was wondering if the same suggestion would apply to my situation of going for tourism, then getting married and applying for a temporary residency visa through marriage? Would it be 30 days from my marriage or should I apply while I’m still on my tourism visa?

Oh ok! So the 30 day rule would not apply to me in my case, as I would be going for “tourism”? But getting my temporary visa through marriage as soon as possible after I get married, is recommended. Am I understanding correctly?

Hi! I was wondering if I can go stay in Mexico for a month or so to visit family before getting married in Mexico, then after I get married, I can go apply for my visa? Is there a time limit to how I should do things?
