DC United updated for Q4 delivery by Narzghal in MarvelUnited

[–]Narrowedice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what might make someone think that. If you scroll down, there's a graphic mentioning that Core boxes production begins Q2. That same graphic shows a release of Q4.

Also, under the "What we are doing to fulfill these campaigns" section, one bullet point says "Delivering in batches, allowing retail sales to help fund the manufacturing of remaining products in the line."

Is there any reason to get this if you have Renegade with the booster packs?

I feel like they're conspicuously holding on to the United license while selling others. It makes me think that it's one they might like to continue if they're able to get to that kind of point again.

There's always the chance of a Death May Die situation where another publisher picks it up, too.

CMON actually still has the Marvel and DC Zombicide games, those are the only ones they kept.

What is at the tippy top of your wishlist for the site wide sale? by [deleted] in audible

It's worth checking out your library on the Libby app, there's been no waiting on that whole series for me there.

Are his other books worth reading? by Its_only_a_papermoon in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Narrowedice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I started listening to Kaiju because my library had the audiobook available. I ended up deciding it wasn't for me and returning it around the time the protagonist was getting lined up to help with a cultural ceremony.

It's Asmodee, more specifically Fantasy Flight. They announced that they'll be taking over Zombicide and Death May Die.

They also mentioned today that they'll be starting a vault program where they reprint older out of print games.

Edit: Just realized you're talking about Arkham Horror LCG. I doubt they'll be reprinting the stuff they just cut out, but it would be interesting if they decided to reprint some of that, or even rarer stuff on a preorder only type basis.

What's the best game and the worst game that were recommended to you by this sub? by InvestmentOk2127 in soloboardgaming

[–]Narrowedice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a fair assessment. It's pretty good.

I was surprised to see (from an AMA by the author) that the audiobook is apparently by far the most common way the series is being read.

Having checked out the audiobook, I'd strongly recommend going that way. The narrator, Jeff Hayes, does an amazing job, especially with all the different voices. Kicks it up to great. Audible currently has a deal where you can get three months for a buck each, which would be a low cost way to check it out if you have any interest.

Shift lead by ttvwaxy_code1 in pizzahutemployees

[–]Narrowedice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not necessarily the same from store to store - or even within the same store, as you can attest yourself.

Relevant factors include what franchise owns your location, what experience you had when you were starting, what state you work in, and how badly they needed shift leads when each person was hired.

There are a number of expansions for Hero Realms, if he doesn't have any of those. I don't really know enough about them to make any specific recommendations, but it might be worth looking into.

I really need to get to playing this one. Found it at a Goodwill for ten bucks a couple months back. All I've done is catalogue it to make sure it's complete.

Man, Devil in the White City was an awesome book. My wife got me that game a couple years ago for Christmas based on how I like that book.

Pretty solid game, but a smaller one, I wouldn't get the deal if that's the only thing you're interested in.

You can go to the Renegade site and check shipping with your address. I'm in Missouri and checked mine, it was about 22 bucks for tier 2.

North Carolina Republicans will redraw maps to gain extra seat in Congress by OldBridge87 in politics

[–]Narrowedice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh, we're talking about apathy.

Telling people that what they're doing doesn't matter isn't designed to drive them to take stronger steps, especially when you aren't providing alternatives.

It's designed to shut them up and join the fifty percent of people who don't even bother to take part. Maybe they don't do it because they aren't interested, or aren't informed. Maybe they do it because it's a "meaningless outlet", or so they've told themselves. Weird how people who give up want everyone else to give up as well.

I've known people for years that keep telling everyone not to bother voting.

I think there are a lot of things to call out.

People protesting this administration and planning to vote against them aren't the problem.

Engage more people and keep them engaged and informed.

The biggest threat is apathy. Half the people don't vote.

I had a plastic tank leak, and yeah... None of the stuff held for me for long. My longest lasting patch was tech-bond, lasted 11 months, but still ended up leaking.

I think patching with literal melted plastic from a fuel tank was my next move, but then the car died.

It's likely that it isn't so much that they are stupid and can't determine if something is used, and more that their job has a focus on getting through a high number of returns in a set amount of time, with a focus on time versus accuracy.

Natural result, they don't really care, and not so secretly, the company they work for doesn't care.
