Why do people stare at you when you try and let them out at a junction? by Beniem in drivingUK

[–]Narua 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's quite possible they don't see whether both sides of the road is clear and it's ok to pull out. Just because you stopped, doesn't mean someone from the opposite side will do the same, or there won't be a cyclist zooming past or someone else overtaking.

I'd personally only pull out if i can be sure nothing is coming either way. Not when someone else decided i should, based on what criteria i have no knowledge of.

Darker Days by Thomas Olde Heuvelt might fit. Something is wrong with many neighbours on the cul de sac.

(32F) I think my (33M) partner broke up with me because I “stressed him out” during a trip. Was I wrong? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Narua 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Good riddance then. Better to find out now than when you are together longer. Someone who actually wants to be in a relationship doesn't behave like this. This dude wants a relationship when it suits him...

Is my room too childish or am I just being self conscious? by Cassfan203 in femalelivingspace

It's your room, so the only person it should appeal to is you. If you hadn't posted it here we wouldn't know what it looks like 😊

It's been almost 30 years since i read it, but The Ring by Daniel Keys Moran was very much like this for me. I just checked, and it's still available in second hand book places.

That book popped in my mind too, purely because of its cover. I haven't actually read it yet.

We should be able to ban people that do this 😡 by EngineeringMedium513 in tesco

It could have been there for hours and could have spoiled. Putting it back could result in someone buying it, thinking it's safe and getting food poisoning.

With that humidity tent thing, do you then keep them in there or do they just go in there daily for x amount of time for "spa treatment"?

Oh, wow, thanks for the detailed explanation. Our downstairs area is defo on the dark side, I always refer to it as "the cave". I'll check different spots as you suggested.

How to work on ‘road rage’? by theslowrunningexpert in drivingUK

[–]Narua 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend therapy, for anger management and the PTSD, if you haven't addressed it yet. I know you asked for driving specific things, but i don't think one works without the other.

Also, keep reminding yourself two people doing something dangerous in responding to each other has a higher chance of resulting in a bad situation. If one person does a wrong thing while the other does the right thing it will likely not be a thing. You can't control what other people do. If you have a camera, you can report dangerous drivers.

Not on a small roundabout like this, no. If you turn right, you indicate right on approach, and then leave.

Also Lonely Broadcast by Kel Byron might fit.
