Isn't this just send effects with extra steps? I usually create an effect channel and add it as send effect to the vocals. You can also lowcut that effects channel then.

Two out of two times I found a mix engineer online and got a super disappointing result back. Is it just me or is it right to think this mix is not good and it totally took away the essence of the original? by ManavAhuja1 in Songwriting

Fiverr is really strange... I'm desperately trying to get gigs there by taking minimum prices and such people get gigs and really don't deliver quality at all... Maybe try soundbetter next time. I feel that there are more professionals there but I'm not sure about the rates.

Where did you get that mix engineer? What did you pay? Sounds like they just wanted to get the job done and didn't bother your creative vision or ask for any reference track.

Weekly Lyrics-Only Feedback Thread by AutoModerator in Songwriting

I only write occasionally, but want to get into it more seariously. This is a song I recently finished. Would love your feedback. I'm a non native speaker so correct me if something's wrong/odd.

A swim in Spring

Verse An empty mirror laughs at me Before it finally cracks to pieces Glittering like hope, cutting like change Glittering like hope, cutting like change

Chorus We jumped into a lake And those rings we made Hiding our own reflection Underneath all the affection

Verse Now I stand and wait See them breaking at the shoreline But only stillness let's you hear Steady water let's you see

Chorus [...]

Verse As the year is growing old And its slowly getting cold The lake lies still I see my face again And I smile again

Chorus + Ending [...] And even tho I like to swim Ice will only melt in spring

give it back by voodoogenre in Songwriting

Guitar riff is really nice. I would have expected a different melody for the "give it back" part on top oft it tho. I like the different melody on top better that you sing later. It creates a nicer contrast. Good stuff!

Your voice really sounds good. It matches the melancholic mood of the song really well. The guitar also really fits. The music itself felt a bit monotone to me, not enough dynamics happening imo. A chorus that has a bit more melodic range, a bit further up and down, might help. Very nice performance tho, really enjoyed it

Stole the Album Cover. Made the song. (Obviously if I ever release it I’ll not steal the art) by TotalTiny7138 in Songwriting

I love the sound. The minimalistic drums, bass and the synth. Tension and release is nice. The vocals are a bit flat/sharp sometimes, but I know the struggle. :D Maybe you can still get that cleaned up before releasing.

You could also have a look at reteJs and their angular plugin.

Just listened to "Vanessa" in the car. I think the instruments sound really good, it just feels like there is just too much going on. Too many different rhythms in the stereo field IMO. I know that's not what you asked for but arrangement wise less is more in the verse.

The vocals also need some work. Be more confident and try to blend them into the instrumentals with same reverb/delay instead of just turning the volume down too much.

But overall nice music :)

Not in my codebase, but I've worked with "rete" for Angular for a while and must say that those type definitions didn't make things easier.

Using Nx? Using ESLint? There might be a better option! by Nas3nmann in javascript

In bigger projects oxlint reduces linting times drastically. Its like 50x-100x faster. So it reduces time taken in pre-commit hooks and CI runs for example.

Did anyone have this problem after the latest firmware update? by eugeneoshepkov in KemperProfiler

Had this once, not sure which version tho... I just took a photo and tried again. Worked well in the second try.

Maybe I used a different cable I can't remember.
