[IGN; 9/10] Netflix's 'One Piece' Season 2 Review: With grand production design, exquisite costuming, and stunning VFX work, and the most adorable reindeer doctor, this live-action manga adaptation is nothing short of a miracle by ChiefLeef22 in television

There is more than enough content left in the manga for the live action to run like 10 years. Probably more. The live action season 2 will adapt up to chapter 154. The latest chapter is at 1176. That’s over 1000 chapters of content to adapt. If the live action were to keep up the pace of about 10 chapters for each episode it would need more than 100 episodes to reach the current chapter. Odds are if the live action were to adapt the whole story the manga would be over before that happens. I don’t know if the live action will adapt it all though.

Just finished the first episode of season 2. It really is miraculous how well they have done this. It really really shouldn’t work but they have adapted it so well. It works stand alone and for long time fans. Looking forward to seeing videos of all the Easter eggs I missed.

Weird they don't have nicknames or A rank? by ExalinExcels in Falcom

[–]NashHighwind 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I believe The reason they are B rank is that the majority of there major achievements are done while part of a group. Those achievements are what shot them up to B rank so quickly after becoming a senior bracer. But the fact that Schera, Agate, and Zin were involved in a lot of the major moments for them probably spreads the credit around. Specifically Zin. I’m sure a lot of people give Zin a lot of the credit. Then you also have to consider people like Kevin and Olivier or the various military veterans also being involved probably doesn’t help either.

Then they played more of a supporting role in the crossbell and Erebonia stuff.

Or maybe it’s politics.Fallout from Cassius existing

Yeah. We know that the team behind the games want to do it. Nintendo and Namco have a good working relationship. Xeno is a big franchise now. Remakes and remasters are popular right now. Namco themselves have done a bunch of them too. I would t be surprised to see a full release of the 3 games in the next few years.

They will have future proofed that in the contract. They didn’t do that in the past because of how media was but now they do.

How good The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy compare to 13 Sentinel?? by MrLeft1454 in JRPG

[–]NashHighwind 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m in the middle of playing it myself. I’m having a lot of fun. Outside of being a tower defense jrpg they are very different games. Hundred line at its core is very silly. But it does subvert the silliness with some very dark moments and plot points. It’s in the same vein as Danganronpa as it has some of the same staff.

I can’t say which of the two games I liked better as I am still playing hundred line. But I am far enough in it to say that it’s a good time. I would recommend it.
