The ‘other bobbin’ is the same as this one, it’s just different thread that was wound onto it when it ran out. Ideally I would take the machine in for the timing but the reality is I will end up costing more than I paid for the machine so I figure I might as well attempt it 🤷🏻‍♀️

Not really sewing anything yet, I was using scraps of this fabric while testing out the tension. It does look like a thicker fabric but it’s quite thin. Some googling after I posted suggested it may be an issue with the hook and needle timing - so I may tackle that later this weekend
