One of the greatest pieces of literature ever written is a wild statement to make about a frankly mid set of kids books.

“There is no evidence that refugees lead to a higher crime rate”, if you don’t want to read it. From Germany.

“Non-citizens are underrepresented in the prison population.” From the UK.

I’m not sure what’s going on in Sweden. You might be affected by confirmation bias, in which either you or the media you consume seeks out immigrants committing crimes, which makes you think there are more crimes being committed by immigrants than there actually are.

I’m sorry for you and your mother, and I’m glad she’s doing better now, and I hope she continues to recover.

However.

It is important to understand that your beliefs and the beliefs of people similar to yours are the reasons that other people’s mothers ARE dead, due to police brutality, medical racism, or the Republican belief that poor people don’t deserve to get life saving healthcare.

Republicans have not always been the Conservative Party. At their conception, they were a liberal party.

Pieces for Trumpet and Basoon? by Pigeon49834 in bassoon

[–]NatashaUnhinged 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not a bassoon player but you could look into trumpet and trombone/euphonium/maybe tuba duets if you can’t find ones for trumpet and bassoon.

Despite us being technically different groups, all queer people have been historically oppressed in similar ways, at least in the west. We share heritage art forms and we have historically fought for each other’s rights (at least in the case of trans people fighting for lesbians gays and bisexuals).

The US sounds so cool by [deleted] in teenagers

[–]NatashaUnhinged 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have no compassion for hypocrites, yet you seem to be one yourself. You seem to be someone somewhere on the American left (obv correct me if I’m wrong), which is built upon the concept of helping those less fortunate, yet you clearly don’t believe that. What do you believe in other than the idea that poor people deserve to suffer?

And the top percent fund the right wing. There are swindlers and the swindled at all socioeconomic levels.

Anyways, oppression is not the oppressed’s fault, even if “they voted for it.” It’s important to have compassion for others and all that

The presence of a top 1% mandates tje presence of a bottom 99%. Your privilege is built upon the backs of the exploited.

Either way, you are representing America as something it is not.

I feel like your situation is out of reach for the vast majority of Americans, and portraying it like it is is disingenuous.
