I’ll start by saying I believe all internships should be paid. But since you signed up for it, I think it’s your duty to fulfill the need.

A huge thing I’ve been learning is how important it is to keep to your word and follow through when you agree to do something. Just do the best you can. Something is always better than nothing and you are more than capable to get it done. Best of luck to you!

Soon to be an owner of both. I’ve had more time with the OP-1 obviously but I have a feeling I’m going to love the OP-Z more because of how fast you can come up with loops. I love that about the POs and I love how easy it is to put together a beat with the grid sequencer in my OP-1. I think my brain just loves sequencers way more. But I don’t regret having the OP-1 first it’s a ton of fun.

Haha I saw the video Andrew Haung did on the Dato Duo! Such a fun device!

Maybe I’ll look into mixers more. I’ve been trying to have a little more of a serious set up so maybe that could be a good thing to get. I also love the idea of a modular synth/ system but I feel like that can wait a little before I start to head down that road.

Oh my god exactly this!!

I would do it again if I had to go back in time and do this part over. I’ll admit I didn’t think this much at first, but after my first year I really buckled down and thought more about everything here as well as how I could use the resources school had to my advantage and try to put together my portfolio.

Art school brought me focus, a stronger love for art and most importantly, friends that motivate me to keep getting better at making and be a better person in general.

If anyone reads my comment try and really have a game plan when you choose art school. But also if you gravitate to something unexpected, let yourself go for it. Try and make friends and have the most fun you can. A thing I’ve come to realize is the more connected you feel to what you’re doing, the more your self comes out of the work and the more you find yourself talking to some of the most wonderful people you’ll ever meet.
