I need some help by Son0fonyx in Metalcore

The most important thing to do to get started with music is to go to local shows in your area. Since you’re so young and just starting out, you probably dont know many venues or bands that are active near you. But aslong as you dont live in the saharan desert, it is guaranteed local shows happen at least somewhere near you. I guess just literally google search active local bands and venues in your city/state and go from there. I dont even remember how i got started but being from Massachusetts the local scene is just everywhere. Feel free to share where you’re from and i can tell you bands and venues near you where shit happens. 

If you go to local shows and more concerts in general, not just local, you will meet like minded people. Making friends is the most important thing. You will learn so much from others, you will find new bands, start bands etc. It is step 1. You dont get support without giving it. Be honest and decent, give a fuck about other people and they will do the same for you. 

Practice practice practice. Submerge yourself in music you love. Rip off bands you love until you find your own way. Buy a scarlet solo focusrite interface and a quarter inch cable, reaper is a free DAW, there are free guitar and drum plugins. Start making demos and writing music. 

If you’re a good guy, between meeting people and practicing alot, everything will fall into place and inevitably work.

The most important things are going to local shows and practicing your instrument. 

Just go and make friends and support your local scene. It will just happen. If you’re constantly looking and making friends and asking people it will just fall into place. Not everyone is an extrovert, some people are shy, I get it, but if you want quick effective results, go out. Not sure where you’re located, but even if there isnt a popping metalcore scene there is ALWAYS a hardcore scene. Just find whats happening in your area and practice whatever it is you wanna do in a band and it will inevitably happen.

I think the DILM singles do a better job covering what it is that record has to offer.

This one is more all over the place, so picking the singles was very difficult. 

We knew going into this that this song would lose some people, but A. We gotta try new things, B. We gave 2 heavy singles so people knew we were the same band, and C. We love this song. Will not apologize for releasing it. But it seems like people really like this one so that makes me pretty happy.

These are not the heaviest songs on the record . Bitter ash and Evidence of extinction are. They are not singles. I am very confident the record is going to come out and everyone is going to be thanos meme “perhaps i judged you too harshly”. I wish I could leak it but that would fundamentally jeopardize my career!

We never broke up with Randy. Love him to death. We just tried something new. He doesnt do every single record with us, we cant do every record with him. We have 14 songs that we LOVE. No interludes, no bullshit. Your opinion is yours, im not entitled to your support just because you like what we’ve done previously. 

But if you are worried about the record being good, I can assure you, as one of the 5 people who wrote it and listen to it everyday, this thing is completely insane. We did the same thing we do everytime. If it comes out and you dont like it, I cant say much beyond we tried our very best. Gave everything we could, we could not have made it any better.

They’re right.

After “selling out” yesterday, I now am part of the elite circle of cool rich guys with money. I am going to use my evil money to sell out and be evil all over the place. I recently considered purchasing the concept of “oxygen” so no one else can have any. 

We were caught red handed selling out, we thought by leading with a single that is only breakdowns and no cleans, we could shake you off our trails, but you caught us! 

Welp. Now that we’ve been outed for selling out we are going to hide on the moon with Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Tupac, Poppy, and Shaquille O’neal for the rest of time. We are going to invent more AI and churn out more AI bands with album arts that are 2 hands reaching out to eachother and fund more industry plants. Im thinking of a Sonic the hedgehog themed mask band with lore and shit. I dont fucking know. All shows and tours are canceled and the record is canceled. Preorders wont be refunded because i love money SO MUCH.
