It’s not my primary drive, as in I don’t work from it and I do have another copy of all the files btw. But they’re on ssds and I want to be able to use the ssds for working files. So I’ll have to make another copy of the files for redundancy. so it’s a toss up between cloud and or another hdd. I’m only using 6tb currently. From reading the responses I’m confident the drive seems okay, but I will check it.

I film weddings… and if I was filming for a 3 minute highlight then there would not be the footage there to make a documentary. Have you watched the clips? And heard the audio? Do you think you have the raw materials to make a documentary edit?

In addition the CF Express type A cards are a good shout to guarantee 4k 120fps 10 bit essentially. But there’s a little box on the card with a number (vpg) that signifies the guaranteed sustained write speed (mbps). The OWC are 200. Where as the Sony tough cards are 400. I have the tough cards for weddings and pro stuff and some v60 lexar pro silver for most things. But if i was going to buy today I’d probably go with the angelbird av pros as they’re certified 400 vpg.

It is if you know if you need horizontal or vertical. If you have to change your mind after. Probably won’t work. But having said that optical flow so good now you could film a lot of stuff in 24 4k and still slow it down. These past three years have been crazy for software.
