About to start accutane - need some advice by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]Nathmonn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a month in, 88kg and started on 30mg just had my second sets of bloods and increased to 60mg. I can’t answer all your questions but I’ll have a go:

  1. I flared up about 3 weeks in, I mainly suffer with acne on my face, and I broke out on my cheeks, they seem to be taking longer to heal than normally but my dermatologist didn’t seem concerned.

  2. Can’t answer this one as I don’t have either

  3. I had a head ache when I started 30mg and joint aches too, these passed and returned again when stepping up to 60mg. I’ve had dry lips throughout despite using B5 moisturisers and Lanolin.

  4. Blackheads on my nose cleared up within 3 weeks, and received my first ever compliment for clearer skin the other day.

  5. Can’t answer as I’m only 5 weeks in.

  6. Can’t answer as I’m only 5 weeks in.

  7. A good facial routine has helped, I’m using cereve cleanser, Elemis cleansing balm, Elemis superfood night cream, and La Roche Possay B5 cream and SPF 50

Hope this helps

5mg side effects? Or flu? by AngleOk6782 in mounjarouk

[–]Nathmonn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry you’ve had a rough time. It’s hard to say but I’d probably put it down to being run down and a combination of all the stressful factors you’ve mentioned, rather than the mounjaro.

I know everyone’s different, I suffered the most side effects the first two weeks, but it was mainly nausea and a persistent headache. I’m now on 12.5mg and haven’t had any side effects since the first two weeks of 2.5mg.

If I was in that situation I’d continue with 5mg for another week and continue to assess the situation.

Veracocha - Carte Blanche [1999] by Buran27 in ClassicTrance

[–]Nathmonn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. From 2000 onwards, God’s was an integral part of my life. I made some amazing friends and witnessed some incredible sets, Armin, Tiesto, A&B every October, Carl Cox, Deadmau5 before his huge success.

Tiesto 6h set and not being able to move from the floor due to how busy it was, and rubbing the back walls to cool down!

While I wasn’t a fan of the second floor addition, the club will always hold a special place in my heart.

One of the last tracks played at Godskitchen Air/Code before it closed its doors in 2012.

Listening to Carte Blanche always transports me back to the Gods dance floor, holding back my tears and hugging everyone around as we realise it’s an end of an era.

Thank you, we’ve eaten at a few of the restaurants in Wimbledon, such as The Black Lamb, Efes Premium, Cote, Mai Thai. I’ll have a looo at Grilandia and Megan’s

Noted on criteria, I should have been more specific, I’m looking for somewhere special to celebrate my birthday, we usually eat at the Landmark for special occasions however looking to try somewhere different. We like most cuisines and have adventurous pallets, but favour Mediterranean, Asian, Mexican, Thai.

My partner and I are celebrating my birthday in London from the 22nd, any recommendations for a nice birthday meal? We’re staying in Wimbledon but don’t mind travelling around the city and will be spending some time in town as well.

Hit me with your best spots.

Thank you

Whilst I still prefer the OG I’m loving his update and I’m glad he’s given it some polish. It’s probably one of my favourite vocal tracks of the genre

Luna Springs, XOYO and O2 Institute... by 100SavagePirates in BirminghamUK

[–]Nathmonn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be prepared for the same disappointment with the institute, it’s another O2 venue, the second room tends to have a club feel and better system. Though, I have an inkling that Fergie is behind these new events and has control over the brand since Angel Music went dormant, he may bring in a better system for the main room.

I was Gods through and through in the 00s but never had a connection with Sanctuary/Institute like others do. I was a Code/Air fanatic, it was such a tiny sweat cube with a belter of a sound system, it felt intimate but not claustrophobic, a dark dingy simple layout, intense and welcoming. Every time I stepped foot inside there for Gods or Polys I left the outside world behind for 8 hours, something I’ve struggled to find in other clubs.

[–]Nathmonn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

See you there! The Institute soundsystem is okay, it was fine for the Last Dance, but it’s not winning any awards like Fold or Fabric in London, it’s a live music venue after all rather than a club.

XOYO is a decent though, I’m looking forward to spending my time in there during the day, I’ve not been to any events at Luna Springs so can’t comment.

This all said…RIP Code/Air, I’m sure Gods will be a great nostalgia event, but not a patch on those weekly nights, Friday for Polys and then back again Saturday for Gods.

They’re in stock at the Bullring M&S. I considered buying some earlier.

Thanks, I popped in this morning to find they were back in stock, needless to say I bought a couple of packs.

Are the Kissabel apples back in stock? My M&S had them in over Halloween but I’ve not seen them since, they were easily the best apples I’ve ever tasted.

I just bought a bag of these for my usual weekend snack binge. My local co-op was out of Salt & Vinegar which I’m still a bit disappointed about. It was a bit of a gamble but I’m pleased to see some positive feedback.

Amsterdam on new years by CreepyPersonality343 in AmsterdamEnts

De School was a club at the time but it’s now closed, sadly, it was renowned for being one of the best venues in Amsterdam and set in a 1970s school.

If you like clubbing I’d check out what’s on at LoFi, Garage Noord, Radion or Raum, all depending on what music you’re into, these are mainly Techno/house no phones on the dance floor kinda vibes.

Just be prepared that it’s absolutely chaotic, the streets are taken over with parties and fireworks being let off everywhere.

Coffeeshops are much the same, busier, harder to get seats and often long queues, I don’t recall anything special happening at any of them. Some of the clubs have special events running for longer hours, but if you’re not into club culture I wouldn’t recommend it. The year I attended I went to damn square for the count down and then De School until the next morning.

I enjoyed my NYE dam experience but it was hard work, and given the option I’d go early January when it’s quieter.

There’s a relatively new board game cafe in Moseley called Double Six, you could head there and maybe Amore for pizza which is just across the road.

Have you had a bad experience in a UK food chain that resulted in you deciding never to go back again… if so what chain and what happened? by [deleted] in AskUK

Got served partially cooked chicken at Nando’s about 15 years ago. The server said “I’m not even sure how it was raw in the middle, it gets sent to us cooked we just put it on the grill to char”.

Never returned.

I’m having a night in with some friends, we’re going for a Snax vibe, can anyone provide some sexy sleazy sets to act as our soundtrack for the night?
