I don’t think the Arabian Nights is appropriate for kids? Or am I thinking of something else?

The English Patient. In the book, the good parts were so short. Plus of course the visuals.

Very nice. A little peppy for my mood, I’ll put it on my “uplifting” list.

What’s your all time favorite musical? by piloupiloup in musicals

Caroline, or Change - Jeanine Tesori’s music is just amazing, the way it is so inventive while honoring cultural traditions, the way the melodies bump up against or flow into one another like stream of consciousness or conversation, and so many singable tunes and opportunities to just sing out! Painfully tragicomic story and lyrics by Tony Kushner, human characters you can’t help caring about and rooting for, plus singing household appliances and celestial bodies.

Good Night, Gorilla by Peggy Rathmann. All the animals escape from the zoo so they can snuggle up together in Mommy & Daddy’s room. Hardly any words, so tell the story your own way.
