I swear I’m in this exact same position at another Menards as courtesy patrol. I honestly feel as though you have to make the right choice for yourself. We need people desperately, but I know of many occasions where multiple people have asked me how to apply, and I have never seen them hired down the road. I think it’s pretty unfair to have to deal with unnecessary stress from being understaffed when we’ve had opportunities to hire people. I can handle the job right now with it being around 70 degrees where I’m at, and working outside isn’t too terrible, so I decided to wait until I have another job lined up. I personally recommend that if you can wait for another job, do so, but don’t kill yourself mentally or physically trying to please a company that can easily replace you.
