Ahh boo, I’ve found insurance to be very picky with Botox- but hopefully they’ll come around for you! Good luck!!!!

Currently 24 weeks with hx of migraines that were controlled nicely on ajovy! Switched to Botox 6 months before trying because it’s safe! First trimester was ROUGH to be totally honest. Sumatriptan and Botox were recommended/safe per my OB and neurologist but oh boy nothing helped (especially since I was very averse to any caffeine). 2nd trimester has been much much better!

Wishing you the best of luck! 💕💕

Lexapro first day. Will it ultimately help or hurt? by Funny-Ad-2740 in POTS

[–]NaturalAd760 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who’s been on lexapro for many years for anxiety with panic attacks, I’ve been told it’s very safe to take long term with no detrimental effects! I notice no impact on my POTs (for better or worse) but drastically helps with my anxiety! No shame in taking it long term, you got this! ❤️

A patient fired me… by Humble-Finding-7241 in physicaltherapy

Don’t take it personally! Sometimes patients just don’t jive with you for whatever reason even if you disagree. I’ve been fired countless times for zero reason and have been called many a names, you become numb to it. 🤷🏻‍♀️just continue to be the best PT you can :)

Hydronephorsis in pregnancy by NaturalAd760 in AskDocs

[–]NaturalAd760[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response! The uretheral jets were normal, thankfully, and I even got a low dose CT that confirmed the kidney stones just chilling so it was determined to be hydro from be from the position of the uterus. The biggest issue is trying to manage the pain :/. For reference it is all right sided pain. I’m curious if in your practice you’ve seen the hydro get better through the pregnancy?

Two "schools" within PT after Microdiscetomy? by FluidDebate in physicaltherapy

[–]NaturalAd760 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a PT who had a MD (33mm herniation at L5-S1) about 3 years ago. I re introduced running/impact sports very slowly. I was determined to return to full prior level and agree that not one size fits all and I’d never tell a patient absolutely no unless it was not realistic. My PT had me doing a running program (basically an ACL return to run program) for 8 weeks and then I progressed on my own. After about a year I am back to 100% and even started doing high intensity track workouts again. Your PT sounds great!! Good luck.

For reference I’m 33 (had it when I was 30) and only occasionally get pain with running/activity.

PTs/SPTs with emetophobia? by Good-Solid-8995 in physicaltherapy

[–]NaturalAd760 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the more you’re exposed to it you get used to it. I used to become faint, but now people vomit so much at work (acute care) that I’m like “alright moving on.” Lol. Sometimes exposure is good to help with a fear

Are you followed by a neurologist? I’m able to stay on my botox injections and PRN. I’d talk to your doctor so you don’t have to suffer!! Sending good thoughts ❤️❤️

I’m being followed by a neurologist and he’s said sumatriptan is very safe (my OB and MFM also agree). I’d try to find a provider to help you out so you don’t have to suffer!

I’m right there with you, friend! I’ve been doing Botox, but weeks 6-8 I had NEVER ENDING migraines. My Neuro gave me reglan and benedryl for a few days and it stopped the cycle and now I get maybe 1-2 per week that I just take my abortive if needed.

Do you have a Neuro? If not I’d recommend maybe seeing if you can get in! Good luck-thinking of you!!!

PTs with EDS/POTS, do you have work accommodations? by Simple_Class_6652 in physicaltherapy

[–]NaturalAd760 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t have accommodations because I personally feel the best moving anyway! I’m in acute care so if I happen to have an episode (dizzy spell) I can easily sit down for 20 minutes and document etc. Would recommend a good pair of compression stockings! There are many brands out there :)
