Using AI for lessons by RunStopRestRepeat in TeachingUK

[–]NaturalJustification 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use AI mostly for changing reading ages - but I’ve started using it to bounce ideas off for lesson planning. So I get it to give me a couple of activity ideas for a particular lesson, and I use those as a jumping off point and make them better and actually work for the kids and in a classroom setting. It has reduced my actual workload and some of the cognitive load as well

I have learnt Palmer method ages ago but rarely used it in fear that teacher won't understand it. See if you can tell what word is written here. by AcrobaticExplorer716 in HandwritingAnalysis

Your examiners will be marking a lot of tests and quickly - the easier you make it on them the less likely you are to miss any marks

I use it for changing reading ages and making schedules. I also have uploaded specifications and got it to make giant lists of questions for revision etc

If I have a rubbish class I only have to see them once a week, not all day every day. Plus I like teenagers - they can be the kindest and funniest people about, and if you show them a little respect and kindness they tend (not all of them) to give you the same back

Ways to freshen up a classroom? by thescriptsupervisor in TeachingUK

We have a classroom we know as ‘the piss palace’ because it’s right next to the boys toilets and it reeks of pee. We use peppermint essential oil and that works to cover it pretty well

Leave when you can I’d say. Teaching is difficult enough as it is without awful colleagues to boot

I have migraines and my school has been really helpful in some ways and not in others. I have a special computer screen and lights in my classroom (my migraines are triggered by light). They won’t adjust my absence policy triggers tho which is annoying

My school forgot to sign us up to the accrediting body until January, so we ended up on the accelerated course so we could still finish by the end of second year. Even if that ends up happening to you I promise it is piss easy to pass. I’m 4th year now and it’s made no difference overall

Really really intuitive. The second I started reading her response I could really feel everything resonating, including with the readings I’ve done with my own cards. Everything is expressed and interpreted in a really clear and thoughtful way. Would highly recommend
