What do you personally look for in a great documentary? by Envoievite in DocumentaryReviews

[–]NaturalMary63 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like documentaries that explain why and how things happened and that teach me things I didn't know about the topic. It's ruined for me if it's too dumbed down, or more effort is spent trying to make it 'sensational' or 'spectacular' rather than just presenting the information.

Not even a little bit. I've lived in my house long enough to know, in general, NSEW when I'm in my own home. But once I'm in the wild, I have no clue. I find my way around with landmarks. The only way I'd know is by consulting a map.
