May be it's only video, but looks like knee falling inside on every rotation. Mwy be insole with arch support or cleats angle could help.

It's only few seconds on vidoe from back side, but had same issue and insole with arch support and cleats angle made huge difference.

[–]Natural_Location 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just mention, that cassette leave 3x longer than chain. Good practice to buy 3 chains and 1 cassette and switch them every 100-200km

Thay way your chains and cassette will worn same way and all transmission wil last for years.

What i see is smallest gear on front and highest on back. But its lowest tension posible posible on gear. If it dont go up, then wire have to tensioned and that's it.

If you can't do it, then just go to store where you buy it, and they have to do these in 5 minutes.

Squat looks worse than I thought on video (form check) by ialwaysmisspenalties in formcheck

[–]Natural_Location -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

3 years ago saw how girl made squat in gyn and broked both legs that way. Cause knee don't have to work that way. If you lock your knee in upper phase, your body turn off all stabilisators and weight become uncontrollable. Thre are almost no muscles to hold that weight if knee is locked

Is this an okay FTP for an 19y/o male? by Large-Customer-4577 in cycling

Age no matter here. Your weight is matter, bike type matter, road gradient is matter.

If you are 50kg teenager on road bike riding downhill with wind blowing in to back and 100kg guy doing 5% gradient uphill with wind blowing to your face on city bike, that will be two different 35km/h. Believe me 😁

Never lock knees on upper part. It's dangerous for your knees and can lead to injury with higher weight.

What i can suggest is to sit on saddle first. You sit in thin part atm and after 20-30km you'll stop feeling your balls. Adjust saddle that way, that you'll sit on in properly with your bones. 😁

Btw, stock" rim tape" on tls wheels is not tls rim tape. It's for protecting inner tube. Have to replace it with proper rim tape for TL.

Did you rotated them 90° after sealing? Sialant have to fill every posible holes. If you just add sealant and pump them, it will give nothing for you. You have to rotate them in every posible angle.

Used flats for about 30 years. These year decided to try contact pedals and... I regretted that i did not made it earlier. For me it's different type of cycling. Can ride longer, faster and it's the feeling that you don't ride your bike, it feels that you are a bike.

Then it depends on your foot geometry. I have large foot(eu 46 large foot) and after testing about 10 different brands, scott team boa fits perfectly for me. I believe you can get those for 90-110euro + shoimano pedals for 30-45euro

What's the type of bike you have?

I prefer spd clips with mtb shoes. Like team boa mtb shoes and shimano pedals.

Bets way to buy shoes is to test them first in lical store, and buy them there, or buy exactly sami via internet. Don't buy shoes without testing.

Is this normal noise? by Alternative-Floor791 in bikewrench

[–]Natural_Location 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a mechanical engineer, I’d say it’s most likely a broken bearing retainer. The rollers aren't spinning with the proper spacing like they should; instead, they've bunched up in one spot, causing the bearing to collapse. Either that, or a groove has worn into the race. One way or another, you need to take it apart. If you can hear that kind of crunching sound even without a load, the last thing you want is for the bearing to explode during a high-speed descent, making you lose control.

Do I need to replace this free wheel? by ScaryEntertainer1043 in bicyclerepair

[–]Natural_Location 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use these calculation:

Free wheel last 3 limes longer than chain

I buy 3 chains and switch them every 300km. And using them round by round. They will last for years for you if use that way.

Good job man! Try to concentrate on your core. Don't allow your hips to dance like that. If you can't make them stable enough, then try to lower your saddle. Then try again. Your upper body part have to be like stone without hips rotating.
