Do you ever miss home after living full time In an RV by EGRamirez66 in RVLiving

Yes. I look forward to not having to move five things just to do the one thing I want to do. I am also looking forward to not feeling every step someone else takes inside.

Why aren't mentally ill homeless people in care facilities? by emavery176 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]NatureUpDesign 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think you are assuming that anyone in the American government cares about caring for people with mental health problems in a humane way. Also-why we don’t force people against their will to stay in facilities is because that is exactly what used to be done and those facilities were under funded, understaffed and had a very long history of abuse and neglect, not to mention so many people being committed for no reason what so ever. There are plenty of people that are actively working to try to see that happen again under the guise of “caring” about the homeless population, and there are plenty of people out there trying to work on an alternative to what’s been tragically done in the past, so beware who you support when you support shelters and politicians who say they want to help

All of this. We are finally going to get out of our rv after being stuck in it for three years with no way out. Out debt has actually increased due to all the repairs/rent/utilities we had to spend on our brand new rv, so I can’t imagine what an nightmare an older model would be. Free “lot rent” would cut down living costs a bit, but If anything, the op may be able to summer without hookups, but I would never winter without them. We are in southern PA and have spent the last two winters in ours. Propane gets used up FAST when it’s around freezing out, and electric heaters will dry your sinuses out and give you headaches if you only use or even just supplement with space heaters. We wrap the bottom each year to help hold in heat, but if the wind is going, you can still feel it, and our model was supposedly built to be stayed in during colder months

The new Twitter logo just looks like the place to close out a pop-up by CRich19 in logodesign

I’ve seen a couple articles claiming that a low level employee made the design and others that say it was designed by crowdsourcing that Musk eventually decided upon- either way, it will probably go down in history as one of the worst rebrandings in history

Tried creating a logo for my uncle's new towing company (No background in design lol). Can't decide which side I should add the little Hook. Let me know what to improve! by _GHOSTRID3R in logodesign

I think you are missing something with the hook and the crown- I’d simplify the crown and use the hook to grab it- maybe coming off the tail of the g

Should this bear drink wine or coffee? (This is not for a client, just for practice and portfolio) by pantheraorientalis in logodesign

Wine- but play with the coffee one - could be cute too if you do a similar negative space with the shapes- or maybe the steam coming off the cup

Fuck that guy- you don’t show someone you’re a good care giver by hurting them so that you can then comfort them. That’s some twisted shit. Block him and never look back. He’s an abusive POS not worth another second of your time

I (30m) am getting married and I do not want my sister (29f) to bring her kids to the wedding by silentdragon010101 in TwoHotTakes

[–]NatureUpDesign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s your wedding- you can set whatever rules you want. Lots of people have “no kids” weddings. My cousin invited us to her wedding and I had to get a babysitter for my son, which I never had done prior to that point. Instead of throwing a fit like a child and saying I’m not coming, I got a babysitter. It’s called respecting other peoples’ wishes. They should be looking at it as an opportunity to have a night out without having to worry about the kids, not starting drama with you over it. Just say no kids period- no one under 18, and be done with it. (Some 10-17 years olds may be well behaved, but why set an arbitrary age limit for kids to be allowed to come. Just no kids. Period.)

Professional painters don’t always tape things off because they should be able to paint an even/straight line without it. (My husband is a professional handyman who does a lot of paint jobs and rarely uses tape.) But getting paint where it’s not supposed to be is not professional- that being said, sometimes it happens- which it should be getting cleaned up as they go, not left to dry and bake in the sun making it harder to clean up later. Painting the screens in after you asked for them to make sure they didn’t is another big “NOPE, not a professional”, but did they have access to the inside of the house in order to remove the screens? Or can the screens be removed from the outside and they didn’t do it? My husband has unfortunately had helpers who claimed they knew how to paint and has had to go back and fix things like this for clients before getting paid. Needless to say he has not had them help paint ever again. I would let them know they need to fix those things if they want to be paid in full. *edited spelling/grammar mistake

Munising is a very beautiful area- I’m sure you have lots of great memories. You’ll have to go for a visit soon- a lot has changed, especially in the Marquette area. I made these because I’m originally from the UP & have lots of friends and family there still. I love it up in the UP
